The hospitality from the host, David, was exceptional. Our suite was perfect - very comfortable and well equipped, with a fantastic view. It was very private but David was on hand for a chat and for great advice as to activities and planning. We loved using the hot tub in the evening, looking at the stars. We cannot recommend this place highly enough - it is very special because of the personal service. David even provided a spade for our trip to the Hot Water beach!

Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality. Even with the extremely bad weather and the power outage, we felt safe, comfortable, and truly at home with you. The delicious food and your kindness and generosity made our stay extra special. We are very grateful for everything â especially for letting us stay one more night, as we were unable to leave Whitianga due to the cyclone and road closures â and we will remember this time with a big smile.

The view and comfy bed
Not that private, basic cutlery and plates not in room for use, couldnt use the spa pool when we liked even though no one else wanted to use it.
