I went for the weekend with my father to get some time away from our busy work lives and the Jodi our host was very responsive and helpful from start to finish. check in was easy and house was very clean and well kept. neighborhood was quiet and relaxing and the house wifi worked great and it was very comfortable. House was close to pittsfield and some other nice towns and attractions. would definitely stay here again and could not have asked for a better experience

We stayed here for a birthday weekend. The house is a wonderful space for the four of us, with plenty of room for more. The location was excellent; we were close to the Appalachian Trail and some of us did a long hike while others enjoyed a movie in Dalton. A lovely space!

The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. It's across the street from a lovely lake with a small private beach, dock, and kayaks. Hinsdale is a nicely central location in the Berkshires. We wanted a quiet getaway combining nature, scenery, culture and history. This was perfect.

Well situated spotless house, laid out just right for senior parent/adult children vacation. Big living room and open to the well equipped kitchen, so some could relax and others prepare the meals. August is superb timing for delicious fresh farmstand food from local farmers. The house is one house away from the lake and we used the 4 kayaks twice. Lake is smooth and not much wake, motorboats out or noise. 2 of us swam across the lake. The rail trail and roads are great for biking, with the senior citizen renting an electric bike. We exercised well and ate well and enjoyed each other's company.

GREAT COTTAGE! This is our second year renting this cottage at Lake Ashmere. The beach for the “off shore” cottages is a 1 minute walk. You can swim, kayak and savor the sun. The cottage itself is a lovely oasis for reading and resting. The air conditioning is a big bonus on hot summer days and the washer/dryer allows you to pack lightly for your vacation. The cottage was equipped with some fun items, such as a 1000 piece puzzle that worked very well to distract us on a rainy day. The kitchen is also well stocked and has basic spices so you can easily cook. Although the cottage borders 143, we never noticed any noise. We plan to come back next year!

This property was perfect for our family of 5. It was so clean, the water was so close!! Joni was so nice and sweet so quick to answer and questions.

This is a very beautiful home! Large open entry/living room, with an open kitchen. Bedrooms are easily accessible, as is the enclosed sun porch! Lots of amenities! Great place for a family or group of friends! Communication with our host, which is always key yo a great stay, was prompt, accurate and just great!

The layout of this house is ideal for multi-generational family gatherings. We found everything we needed at the house. The lake is beautiful, particularly in winter when few people are around. The only issue we had was with the minimal heating system, which was quickly rectified through supplemental space heaters. Joni is a very gracious host!

Great layout and location. Close to both winter and summer activities. Very clean, comfortable, and well equipped. I definitely recommend.

We rented this cozy cottage for a XC ski weekend, and a major snow storm blew in for one of the days. This didn't damper our spirits, though. We played games, made hot cocoa, and explored the frozen lake right across the street (and were able to make it up to Notchview for some tremendous XC skiing the following day).

Our long-awaited 3-generation reunion week at Joni"s house was great! Location was lovely - steps away from a small and very quiet beach. Kayaks and lifejackets were provided. House was spacious with 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Very well-stocked and clean. We did day trips to The Mount, Ioka Farm, and Mt Greylock, but mostly we enjoyed being home and at beach with each other in a safe and peaceful setting.

Joni is the most gracious host. She called to make sure I was comfortable and was in touch throughout my 8 day stay. I asked her if she had a blender in the house and she immediately had one delivered by Amazon within a day! The house is clean, welcoming and stocked with everything one would need for a "feel like a home" stay. The neighborhood is charming. It is about 300 yards from the house to the lake. The pleasant street is about 1/3 mile long, so one can safely walk anytime day or night. The beds were super cushy and the bedding includes quilts and many blankets to keep warm. The house is well built and sound proof-in fact I was resting on my bed and couldn't hear someone calling for me from the living room. Thank you, Joni, for making my trip really a total pleasure!

This is an excellent spot for a family, especially those with kids, teens and young adults. The shared living space is cordial and comfortable, with a living room and a porch to spread out and read. The bedrooms allowed for private space. Strong wifi allowed our young adults to take their summer college classes easily in the privacy of their bedrooms. Air conditioning is a great bonus on the hot days and the washer and dryer makes it easy to settle for a longer stay. The lake front is perfect for kids and teens to play. The Berkshires has outings in the event that you hit a string of rainy days. Joni, the owner, is easy to work with. We highly recommend this cottage. We plan to come back next year!

Rented this for my wife, son and cousins. They loved it. They want to go when the weather gets better. They had fun kayaking. They said it was a quiet area and clean.

After a year in the pandemic, as three NYC professionals we greatly needed a change of scenery. This home was everything we could want and more. It was incredibly clean, with thought to detail about sanitizers and disinfectant sprays available for our pers5 use. The owner, Joni, was always willing to answer any question we may have to ensure our comfortable and relaxing stay. One night in we were already talking about when we might return! If you need a quiet space, well situated by the lake, hiking and so much more please snatch up this rental!

This house was perfect for our weekend trip. The house was clean and ready for us when we arrived and there was plenty of room for everyone. The owner was very accommodating and was available to answer any questions we had. Definitely would consider renting again if we return to the area.
