About this house rental
Located in Palm Island, this charming house for $328 per night is a great choice for your next break. Wake up to dolphins, manatee, diving pelicans, hunting osprey and herons with water views from every single room on this quiet street in Englewood, Florida, one of the best kept secrets on the Gulf Coast. Located directly on a canal, the main living room and kitchen have direct views of Lemon Bay. With all of the comforts of home we thought through all of the details to make your stay perfect - good mattresses, nice towels and sheets, kitchen supplies, beach gear and more. This 3 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath home has two oversized bedrooms with en suite baths which makes this the perfect home for having family guests or two families looking to rent together. With a separate downstairs living room, your guests will have privacy and comfort while visiting. The downstairs living room is set up with a home theater surround sound system perfect for movie nights. The upstairs bedroom has a king size Westin Heavenly bed and bathroom with a large soaking tub and skylight in the shower. The downstairs guest bedroom has a king size bed and the children's bedroom contains a bunk bed with full and twin beds with an extra Casper mattress under the bed for additional capacity. The bonus room also has a sofa bed. With three separate living rooms to choose from you can also relax or have a meal in the bonus room with 180 degree water views. The chef's kitchen is well equipped with pots and pans as well as an Instantpot. Enjoy your morning coffee with an Instantpot coffee maker that takes both Keurig and Nespresso pods. There is also a new Weber grill available for use. Take a dip in the private heated pool with a low wall that maximizes privacy while you swim. There is ample covered seating to relax with a good book or have a poolside meal. Bring your own boat or do a long term rental. Our home is located directly on a canal right off of Lemon Bay with a dock. One left and you are in the bay for amazing fishing. Our dock is 70 feet long with a 90 foot seawall. We have ample parking for your boat trailer in addition to a couple of cars between our circular driveway, driveway from garage to street, and the garage for use. The nearest public boat launch is 4.3 miles away at Placida Park boat ramp. We have 2 single person fishing kayaks available for use from our dock and a set of 2 adult & one child beach cruiser bicycles. We also have an adult trike for use. Multiple nearby beautiful beaches to choose from - Englewood Beach, Stump Pass, Blind Pass and Manasota Key. We are a short drive to Boca Grande to take advantage of all that Boca has to offer. House is equipped with beach chairs, umbrella and coolers. Tired of the beach? Kayak at nearby Don Pedro State park or rent a boat at Cape Haze marina which is steps away. At the end of your perfect day, take in the spectacular sunsets from the living room over Manasota Key and Lemon Bay. Monthly rates available for long term rentals. Your stay in paradise awaits!

Overall, I’d have to give this an A+, we did have to have the icemaker worked on while we were there. But my response to that is Sarah was right on everything that needed to be done and was taken care of efficiently, very clean very well stocked with things, you might not think to bring, you can be very very comfortable. Here I would book again, but my plans will be now to avoid the 5% booking fee.

Great location on the water. We have stayed in many rental houses over the years and this one was probably the most well stocked with everything we needed. There are two really nice beach umbrellas, plenty of beach chairs, a good rolling cooler, and shark teeth sifting tools. We spent a ton of time hanging out in the pool. The water was the perfect temperature. It was fun to kayak (two kayaks come with the house) right off the dock. We brought our stand up paddle boards from home and there is a ton of great places to paddle locally. I would totally recommend this place for anyone who needs a lot of space, private pool, and an on the water location. The owners were super responsive and very great to work with. You will not want to leave this house!

We had another great experience at this property! It is great proximity to beaches, restaurants and quiet. Being on the canal works great for boating and the pool keeps the kids occupied for hours.
The kitchen has everything you need and the garage is stocked with chairs, cooler and toys for the beach. We had a wonderful time at Manatee Mood!

Outside of the BBQ being old and rusted (non usable) we had a great stay here! The 2 kayaks were an added bonus and loved having the boat lift for our boat. Would recommend highly

This property was perfect for our family so that he older kids had their space and our small children had a place to go to be loud in the mornings. The pool was an absolute hit - kids were in it every day for hours. The kitchen was stocked and had everything we needed. We were blessed to be a couple miles from my in-laws so we had extra hands and their boat could be docked here for easier access. All around this place was quiet, tranquil and exactly what we needed to get out of the cold Michigan winter. We had one concern when we first arrived with the pool and the property owner walked us through things immediately. After that, things were smooth sailing and we cant wait to book again next year!

Perfect Location!
We had a wonderful time at the Manatee house! We were close to fishing, Boca Grande, excellent restaurants and convenient grocery stores. The house is clean and exactly as presented. We enjoyed the pool and the boat lift. We had a few questions while we were there and Sarah was quick to answer and help us! Perfect host. We would like to visit this property again.

Peaceful Evenings, Wonderful Beaches, Dolphins, Boating Nearby
Perfect in every way, this spotless home is beautifully designed and furnished, with a great layout to accommodate family. The kitchen is outfitted with a generous supply of everything. Cooking and serving meals here was a surprising highlight of the week. The beds were a dream. The owner was kind and very quick to reply.
This home is perfectly laid out for a large, mixed group- some of us had to work, some came purely to play. There was ample space for our different generations to find a private room, and also for us to all be together in the evenings. The property is surrounded by many exceptionally great beaches, each about 10-15 minutes drive away. The evening peacefulness and big, private pool and the lovely views of the channels from every window, more than compensated for not walking to a beach.
Twice we rented kayaks as recommended in the owner's friendly book about the house rules. We saw 8 dolphins all frolicking around our kayaks on the first day and we also saw a herd of mating manatee! The second day "only" 2 dolphins cavorted around our kayaks-- but we were handed cold beer from a boater in one of the serene channels, where heron and an eagle were being taunted by fish jumping from the water. The serenity, the seashells, the birds and dolphins and manatees and turtles and flowers and white sand beaches that surround this lovely, generously appointed home, combined with a welcoming host, made our stay absolutely 5 stars in every way. I most highly recommend this property.
