About this house rental
Nestled in Lake Gaston, this lovely house for $224 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Wrap up your summer with a relaxing getaway to the Summer Fun! Beautiful 3 bedroom 2 full bath waterfront home on Jimmies Creek with direct access to the main lake. Convenient tie off at the dock (4'-5' depth) for your boat and jet ski storage on the floating platforms. Cleaning station and fresh water conveniently located on the dock. Three kayaks and a paddle board, free wifi and cable TV.. Recently updated furnishings include; new furniture in all bedrooms, new family room furniture and new vinyl plank flooring throughout! Kitchen is fully equipped with new dishes and plenty of cookware and utensils to prepare any meal! Furnished screened porch with dining table, couch and chair with foot stool, soft lighting and views of Jimmies Creek provide a perfect evening at the Summer Fun. Gas grill available for tenants use. Book with confidence knowing that the house will be professionally cleaned and thoroughly sanitized prior to your occupancy. Convenient tie-off at dock and use of jet ski platforms. Pets are currently allowed, there is a $15 per day, per pet fee. For safety and security purposes there are surveillance cameras around the dock and common areas of the property. If you are looking for a quiet time, Lake Gaston is the place! Such a beautiful, peaceful area. This home is a great place to stay and make your home base. Lots of amenities provided, sits in a beautiful cove, and an amazing screened in porch that we spent lots of time on. Was also a great spot for our dog. Thank you!

Perfect for docking boat and jet skis. We also enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Love the screened-in porch. Quiet and peaceful. Friendly neighbors. House was clean and comfortable for 7 adults and we still had plenty of room. Friendly hosts with quick response. We had a great time !

Very nicely decorated and furnished lake house with a screened in porch and beautiful lake view. Kitchen was well equipped, wifi and cable worked well. Bernie was informative and responded quickly. We had a very relaxing week and would have loved to be able to stay longer.

I was looking for a place between where my daughter’s in school and home. This was a perfect getaway. We loved kayaking, paddle boarding and attempting to fish! Also enjoyed the fire pit and neighbors were lovely and kind. Bernie was a great communicator. All in all a great long weekend with friends and family!

What a week we all had, was able to spend time with all my kids back together. House was wonderfully furnished. Being able to dock the pontoon and have access to kayaks gave the kids plenty to keep busy. Wonderful experience, highly recommend. Thank you Bernie.

We’re a group of friends that always spend some time on LKG every summer. The house was just what we needed. Adequate room, nice place to moor our boat, I got to bring my pup with me, & we loved the screened in porch! Would definitely stay here again!

Great family lake vacation!
The house and dock were perfect for our family of 6 adults! Large well furnished kitchen, 3 different tables for meals/games, & we loved the kayaks for morning entertainment! Thanks for the great memories!

Fantastic get away!
What a wonderful property to find a slower pace and a relaxing atmosphere. The layout of the house is great with the master bedroom on one end and the other 2 bedrooms on the other. The kitchen is well stocked for all of our cooking needs--there is even baggies and foil! The screened in porch is divine. We ate dinner out there most nights and I set up an offce there during the day. The wifi was great for all my video meetings. We kayaked, paddle boarded and swam in the lake everyday. The neighbors even took us out for a sunset cruise on their boat one night. I look forward to returning again

This was a terrific house. There are many, many reasons why. But for a hint, look at the "About Bernie" and "Why Bernie chose Henrico" section of the original listing. Here's just a tiny summary: "In addition to all the boating opportunities Lake Gaston offers, the laid back lifestyle of the residents and visitors in the area resonated with us. It was important to have a convenient fishing hole near the dock. We needed access to safe water for kayaking--there's a no-wake zone just north of our cove. Needed something tucked away from all the wave action from the main lake, but close enough to access. Top of the list for renting is having a dock to tie my boat to. It had to be in good repair and safe, with lighting. Next, a house in good repair without bugs or safety code violations. We wanted comfortable beds, furniture that wasn't falling apart and a fully equipped kitchen. You shouldn't have to pack skillets and measuring cups when you go on vacation, but...I used to do that. Because some of the rentals were so poorly equipped, I started packing half my kitchen in the car. At The Summer Fun, you will have plenty of cookware, utensils, dishes and bowls to make almost anything. There is an electric griddle, vegetable steamer, drip coffee maker, espresso coffee maker, mini chopper, ninja blender, mixing bowls, casserole dishes, wine glasses, measuring cups and spoons, dishwasher tabs, dish towels, grilling tools and propane tank for your use. If you are looking for peace and quiet on your vacation, this is the place for you. Our nearby neighbors are year round residents and not the partying types."

I'll add one more thing ... also in the category of communications ... as the family before us checked out and Bernie learned about certain "surprises" just before we arrived, she contacted us to let us know ahead of time what to be on the lookout for. Nothing major ... but most importantly, they *weren't* major because she told us about them ahead of time. The worst thing at the start of a vacation is a bunch of surprise discoveries. But when you know about them ahead of time, it's no big deal. Communications. Huge. Thank you Bernie!

This will be the house we rent for future Lake Gaston visits. The neighbors were the best and so very friendly and helpful. Everything was perfect. Our grandchildren came for the day and had the best time swimming and floating around. That backporch was a place of gathering after a long day on the water. The atmosphere made for a perfect lake experience.
