The house needs a lot of attention. Outside the siding was coming off or missing, lattice work was thrown in the walk way under house so it was very unsafe for kids. Inside there was dog hair everywhere and outside on the deck there was dog poop. I know this rental allowed pets but never expected to find all of the dog hair covering the bedding sheets and comforters and poop on the deck. We had to wash it all and use our own blankets as cover because we could not wash the big comforters. All of the furniture in the living room area was stained up and just looked uncleaned. Doorknobs were loose and made it hard to open some of the doors. Keyless entry lock kept locking us out so be careful when you walk outside. The fridge/freezer smelled so bad. This is so sad because this would be a really nice rental if it had some attention shown to it. The location is perfect for families.

This house is unfortunately not safe. It’s a shame because done correctly it could be a fantastic rental. Dirty linen, dried food on dishes, bugs all over kitchen, broken glass all over walkway, rusty wires poking out of several gates, boards w/rusty nails sticking straight up-one went through someone’s foot, mold in coffee maker, missing pickets on 2nd floor walkway that a toddler can fall right through, tripping hazards ie old bricks scattered all over the place & on & on — I let mgmt know about these & addtl issues. Someone sprayed for bugs 1 morning & they were back that afternoon. The company has a lot of excuses including that they could have fixed some of these issues but since we did not want people coming in/ out of house my complaints could not be addressed. I am in the middle of Chemo & could not allow random workers in/ out all weekend. The lady with the bug spray was my max. They said halfway through the stay they could leave clean linen & a coffee maker outside if I had just let them.. I don’t know who was in charge of written invitations that day but if you can fix a problem just FIX IT. Leave the items outside. They refunded my cleaning fee which was fitting. They completely ignored the repeated complaint/ comment that there were boards w/ rusty nails sticking straight up in the walkway & one went through my husbands foot. After reading the other reviews & management responses I am curious as to the excuses that will be posted below knowing I can’t respond

Loved our vacation location. House is in need of outdoor repairs. Siding coming off. Toilet didn't want to flush. Garbage disposal smelled bad. People before us didn't take trash to curb and housekeeping didn't either we had to take a over flowing can to curb and had no room for anything of ours for 3 days. Coffe ring on kitchen table when we got there. Only enough propane to grill half our first meal. Major no no for me was sand on top bunk bed making me feel like it was never cleaned. To top it off we found dog poop in second bedroom and we didn't bring animals! I clean vacation rentals and completely blown away with lack of proper things being done. We love dauphin island it's our 3d time visiting!

The locking mechanism is very difficult. Even with the code we could not get the door open for more than an hour after arrival. You must push the door in and hold it in a specific way to get the locking mechanism to work. there is no ice maker in the refrigerator and no ice cube trays either. The water pressure in the showers is very low. The place has the smallest washer I have ever seen, as it could only hold two towels and a couple swimsuits per load.

We thought the location was good and it os convenient to the gulf and bay access. It was big enough for our group of 7, we also had our dog with us who enjoyed playing on the bay side. We did request a toaster and the grill to be cleaned during our stay. The toaster was brought to us on the same day requested but the grill no one ever came to clean it so we cleaned it ourselves since we needed to use it. The property could be cleaned better since when we went to use the coffee maker the inside of it was covered in mold. Be careful on the deck barefooted you might catch a splinter. Lastly, the Wi-Fi kept going in and out, not the hosts issue just an FYI. Overall it was a good stay for our family and dog.

We had a great stay, the house was nice. However, there are a few things that need to be addressed: The rugs weren’t very clean, the bathroom rug looked like it belonged outdoors. The windows didn’t all have screens in them, which was annoying because we would’ve loved to open the windows and feel a nice ocean breeze through the house. The blinds were broken in many places and quite dirty. Other than that, the house was great. It had everything we needed, including a great fenced in dog yard, which the dog could access right from the deck landing. The porch had a wraparound deck, very enjoyable for kids, dog and adults. The house is very well laid out for being a smaller size. We had four adults and two kids, and had plenty of space. The house is on the north side of Bienville, so the property backs up to the bay, which was nice to walk along or view the sunset. Also you can walk out the driveway, cross the road, and enjoy the beach on the gulf. Most houses on the bay don’t have that beach access, so this was a nice bonus for us! We had a great stay!
