About this cabin rental
Located in Yellowhead County, this lovely cabin for $253 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Private log Cabin rental 1 hour west of Edmonton 2 bedroom. One private room with door and the other is a loft. 2 queen beds, wood fired hot tub, woodstove, swimming pond, kayaks, canoe. Outdoor fire pit with games, walking trails and open year round. Ice skating, snow shoeing, pond hockey in the winters. One of a kind escape, perfect for romantic getaways or bringing the whole family. Kitchen comes with all cookware, just bring drinks and food/condiments, Also has a barbecue for use. Sleeps 4, will allow more at $50 per person per night. Pet friendly $25 per stay, per dog. They MUST stay off the furniture and clean up after them. Mandatory fee, no exceptions. Unfortunately due to heat in the lake we had a large fish kill off and there will be no more fishing. Check-in is at 3pm, check out is 11am

Chris was a great host and his property is beautiful! We travelled myself and my husband and our three boys aged 7. 10 and 12. They loved playing hockey on the pond, having a campfire and soaking in the hot tub. A great place to check out and enjoy nature and time together as a family!

We had a great stay at Chris' cabin. It was just what we needed at the end of the year - the quiet, cozy cabin had everything we needed including a wood fired hot tub and nearby trails.

This cabin makes you feel like you are living on another planet. It takes you back in time to a place where times felt simpler, to a time when you could just simply sit in a rocking chair, swaying back and forth in front of the blazing fire in meditation, a time where there were little distractions and you were fully immersed in the present moment. Feeling the warmth of the fire, and hearing the crackling of the wood was one of my favourite moments during our visit. We spent our days taking in the beautiful land — the birds, the moose, the clear, wide open sky. Taking in the fresh country air was like learning what it is to breathe again. Lounging in the wood fire hot tub underneath the stars was such a treat! The cabin has an amazing rustic copper bath tub that you are guaranteed to have the best bath of your life in. We just loved the antique furniture throughout the cabin and all it’s rugged charm. We spent the rest of our time reading, playing card games and losing track of time. Chris is a very attentive host. He ensured we had everything we needed, and even started the hot tub up for us in the morning. He is very friendly and shared many stories about the land. We are both so grateful that this cabin exists and hope to return in the very near future. It is a magical place. Thank you, Chris!

My friends and I had the best time at this cozy cabin. We loved the wood burning hot tub! It was the perfect little escape from reality for the weekend. Check in was easy and Chris was super helpful when we needed anything. We would definitely stay again.

We were looking for a peaceful cabin to get away to for a weekend, and boy did we find it! The privacy was outstanding, the cabin is exactly what you picture when you think of a log cabin. We spent our days reading, playing cards or letting the dog adventure on the trails, and our nights enjoying the wonderful bathtub and hot tub. Can’t wait to return in the future!

We loved our trip to Alberta visiting family and by far loved our short stay at Chris's cabin. Hospitality was awesome and even though we didnt stay long, we fell in love with the peaceful surroundings. Japanese hot tub and the rustic tub was perfect. As we await our ferry trip back to the Island, I've already booked for next month.

My husband and I stayed here over the long weekend and we had such a good time! A perfect little retreat to escape the business of the city. Our dog really enjoyed it too! So much space for him to roam around off leash. We will definitely be back! Highlights were the wood fired hot tub, late night fires under the stars and the walking trails!

A charming place that offers time to just relax, stargaze and loose track of time. Our dog absolutely loved the freedom to roam around nature which made us very happy. A must is to enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck swing while watching the fish jump. Beautiful location, relaxing hot tub, more then enough wood and overall a peaceful escape. The only thing for us was we would appreciate a little more privacy as far as there are no curtains/blinds on any of the windows, especially the bathroom lol. I know we are in the middle of the forest, but still, imagination can run wild with what may be lurking in the bush, especially at night lol. Overall a great place to really unwind and disconnect. Thank you for having us!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful, beautiful private place with lots of wildlife , morning coffee in the hot tub, was my favourite ! Really enjoyed our stay, our trip got cut short and had to leave early , but we will definitely be back !!! Really really beautiful property! Well worth it .

Such a beautiful spot! It was so peaceful and really made you feel connected with nature. The pond was great for the kids to swim and play in. We went on a nature walk, roasted marshmallows with the kids, relaxed in the hot tub, watched the northern lights around the fire pit. We would love to return in the winter to enjoy everything the property has to offer at that time of year as well! Chris was a great host and made sure everything was great for our stay.

Chris was a great host. You can tell he has a lot of pride for this picturesque and peaceful place. We loved swimming and canoeing on the water and of course the hot tub! There’s lots of games and a little swing set for little kids. Kitchen is well stocked too. A very easy and relaxing getaway!!

Wow, what an amazing place. So relaxing and you can spend the whole day swimming and soaking in the hot tub. Chris is very accommodating and communication with him is excellent. The property has so many activities -lawn games, hot tub, swimming, canoe, walking trails. I highly recommend! see you next year!

Chris was so helpful and hospitable! The property was everything I had been hoping for—a quiet escape where we could just rest and refresh in nature.
The Japanese wood-fired hot tub was such a nostalgic and fun experience, and the water was beautifully clear and fresh. Chris had it all fired up and hot when we arrived so we could take a dip that afternoon. My boyfriend doesn’t do hot tubs normally so I figured I’d be enjoying it alone before bed, but we soaked in the hot tub several times each day…and even talked about how fun it would be to build one for ourselves. If you come in the summer don’t miss out on swimming in the pond! It’s cold enough when you first get in to remind you of being at the ocean haha but once you’re in it’s so refreshing! I woke up in the morning looking forward to going for a swim! There’s also bocce ball, ladder toss, walking paths, and lots of room to explore around the property. With a full-sized fridge, a four burner stovetop, pots and pans etc, and a microwave with an overhead element in it, you can save money on food by cooking homemade meals. We even managed to make a delicious lasagna from scratch in the grill-microwave.
We will definitely be back to explore all the things we ran out of time for…and do some more swimming and hot tubbing. :) I Highly recommend staying at the Burch Forest Cabin!

My wife and I stayed here at the start of June and it was phenomenal. Chris was an amazing host who has many stories about his life on the property and made sure you were well taken care of while staying there. It got down to +1 the one night and Chris made sure to check in with us and come show us how to properly work the fireplace. We can not recommend this enough and will most definitely be returning!

We can’t say enough good things about our weekend getaway, and that’s exactly what it felt like. From our amazing host Chris, the outdoor wood burning hot tub. Listening to the birds and nature while enjoying your morning coffee, the care and love has been put into this property and all of its beauty of the land. Trails to take the dogs hiking on, a big swimming hole for all to enjoy. We definitely will be back and can’t wait till our next visit.
