Total shock...

I didn't like anything. On the contrary, everything was deplorable.

It was very cold in the room, mess on the stairs and in the kitchen, the food was stolen from our fridge, the room is not as on the website, you don't have a fridge, microwave or kettle in the room as shown in the pictures. For two weeks, our towels were not changed, we were sent messages that we were consuming too much electricity, our reservation was canceled on the grounds that repairs were being made, but it was just a lie because the room was still on Booking. Com. I asked the manager for an invoice, but I haven't received it yet. There is no communication between owner and manager. The owner came when we were leaving the house and he didn't know anything about everything that happened to us. He offered to compensate us but no one contacted us. In room 1 where I stayed, it was raining in bed because the bed was under the windows. We have traveled a lot in Europe but something like England has never happened to us. They lied to me that they are issuing my invoice, I have a message from him about this but I have not received anything. They probably rent and don't pay taxes otherwise I don't understand why they didn't issue me the bill. Anyway I notified the police and Citizen Advice. I had customers who were making noise...So...I don't recommend.

Beautiful room (room 1) and beautiful bathroom, kitchen is nice but no microwave, management nice and helpful

Cleanliness is something that is missing there as you can see in the pictures In the living room you cannot sit on the sofa, but you can write on it with your finger :) I did :)

Lovely room. Would have liked a handful of tea bags to keep me going.

. A bit too far from Brighton. Shampoo and conditioner provided. Thank you.

The overwhelming smell of fabric conditioner. I had to have the windows open regularly.

Avoid! The owner still charges even if you had to book an alternative due to their’s and/or booking.com’s error!

I didn’t get to see it as the eMail advising of the room I was to be in and the vendors contact number didn’t come through until well after I arrived at the actual house. I had to book another place!

Location is not particularly salubrious! I could t get in as two room keys were in the box and I had no mail from Booking.Com advising of which room or a contact number for the vendor. I had to book another place at more cost and the vendor was happy to charge me fully. After a long time on calls with customer services to get my money back they ignored my request at the first call. The second call resulted in me only paying the no show fee. the vendor is not flexible. I have been charged £51 no show fee yet I had to book another hotel at 9:00 at night because I had not been given the final booking details of the room and the vendors number. The vendor was not flexible and it’s a disgrace on them and booking.com that I was charged for their error. I will be pursuing recuperation of the outstanding amount plus my fees. I’d recommend avoiding this property and booking.com because if things go wrong with their system you end up out of pocket.

Poor response from host

Spacious room, comfy bed, good location, clean room and bathroom.

If you stay in room 1 and think you have a private bathroom, well... its supposed to be, but its not in reality Its not en suite,its outside the door, so remember to leave door on latch, and take the toilet paper into your room or you won't have any left as itl be taken! I asked the host for more toilet rolls, Instead of just bringing a roll in as I asked I was accused of having an additional person with me when I was visiting my grandson and had a 2 year old with me as per room order. then they didnt believe me when I prove to them the toilet paper is being taken! Even after the manaher rang, all i asked for was 1 toilet roll , no investigation by calling the other guests, no hasstle as i had a baby with me and you put me in danger!!! Very poor! On top, there is NO kitchen! The house is under renovation. I was going to come on a regular basis but as you actually didn't believe me and put me and my 2 year old grandson in danger when I asked for help I will not be coming again!

Great value for money - basic accommodation at an unbelievably low price.

I greatly appreciated the warmth of the welcome and the owners' very genuine offers of support to help me out if I ran into any problems. The accommodation was basic, with a shared bathroom but it was still exceptionally good value for money. It met my needs, as I intended to be out all day, just returning to the room to sleep.

The owners were in the pocess of moving - for which they apologised - so I was not always sure whether there was anyone else in the house. Slightly problematic with a shared bathroom!

poor provisions of facilities, not comfortable, just a family home and not providing any quality.

No change of towels, had the same towel for three nights. Bed was very poor and had a sore back after my stay. Couldn;t use the TV even when on last night the owner came and put it on it just went back to not being able to use it. No real safe parking as it was a busy street. Just felt I was staying in a friend's house . Overall just not value for money.

Not good value for money.

The location was not ideal as we were on foot and it was not convenient for bus or train. Having walked all day it was very disappointing to wait on the doorstep for 30 mins having advised host of our arrival time. It seemed very expensive for type of accommodation and location. Taxi to centre expensive.

Very comfy homestay

This homestay is situated at the end of a close in a quiet residential area with easy parking. It is the whole top floor, a loft extension. A modern airy, large room with private shower room. Fridge and microwave provided also a tray with little jars of tea, coffee and sugar, breakfast cereals and porridge . Milk and a jug of water to refill kettle. Plenty of wardrobe space and hangers. Tv provided. The family are absolutely delightful and friendly. Very helpful but not intrusive. It was a real pleasure to meet them. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay ( 5 nights)

Two flights of stairs , not a problem for us but could be for some.

Clean, friendly and welcoming stay.

Nice and clean. Friendly welcome. Breakfast was nice - pleased to get both soya and dairy milk. Shower good. Was actually nice and quiet overnight compared to the hotels on the seafront - so this is a bonus! A bit further from beach than I perhaps thought but still accessible to lots of areas.

A nice cosy room with a soft bed, and very quiet at night, helped me get a good sleep.

My favourite breakfast Wheetabix with cold milk.

Misleading Con Artist Advert

Please be careful with the images that are shown in the advert, as the property is in a council estate and the home is not what seems. Also the google image is not correct, as you will be sharing with a large African family. Please these images are misleading and deceiving as well as the title. I have made an official complaint with booking.com

The double room that I choice was not shown in the main advert, though is shown (until booking.com told me) if you click the word double room?! It looks shubby for the value, the springs where coming through the mattress. The duvet and pillow case felt like carboard. You sleep directly above the immersion heater with the copper pipes going through the room to heat other rooms. So there was consent noise all night. The wet moden show/bathroom is only for the delux double bedroom. You share the family bathroom. They advertise a double room which makes you believe to click the double room think twice as it is not! I wish now that I had taken photos of the property especially the kitchen with the pots, pans etc not cleaned, when I decided to turn off the immersion heater at 3am in the morning, though not having a decent sleep and feeling like a zombie it didn't cross my mind. Though I did quickly take a photo of the bedroom, which now I know it is shown as mentioned before?! Good luck

Comfortable room and friendly hosts

Check in was quick and easy, we felt welcome despite being in a private home and the place was exactly as advertised, just missing the flowers! The room was warm and spacious, nicely decorated, and made us feel very comfortable. And we found it a nice touch to have a fridge in the room, and that even some instant coffee, tea, cereal and milk were provided, in case we wanted to have a quick breakfast before heading out for the day.

We missed some hand towels in the bathroom, and some decaf options for breakfast would have been nice. Also, the room was sufficiently clean overall, but not spotless. A deeper clean of the carpet and bathroom would have definitely made a difference in our stay.

A room in an ordinary house, not great facilities, very nice landlady

Very nice landlady, quiet room with parking nearby.

With all of the kindness in the world, this was somebody's bedroom in a very plain house on the outskirts of Worthing, more of an AirB&B accommodation. Noisy full size fridge by the bed, no bedside light, synthetic fibre bedding, no en suite but access to the family bathroom. May suit some but it was expensive for what it was, and I felt like an intruder in someone's home.
