About this house rental
Waterfront Property! This fabulous house is located on Tubbs Inlet Bay, a tidal waterway, and features incredible views of the marsh and bay. It has a private dock, so bring your boat and/or your jet skis. It also has a sought after private, outdoor pool.
The home features updated furnishings and interior amenities including 6 new large Smart TVs (Netflix and Amazon streaming capabilities), surround sound stereo in the family room, karaoke and high speed internet and WIFI.
The two large master bedrooms on the top floor feature king beds, en suite bathrooms and walk-in closets. They open onto private covered balconies that face the bay. The upper floor also features a TV sitting area and a laundry closet.
The two bedrooms on the main floor feature en suite bathrooms, and are furnished with a single queen bed (bedroom 4) or two queen beds (bedroom 3). They both open onto decks. All linens are provided. The main floor also features a large, open plan kitchen/dining/living room and a half bath. This room opens onto the huge main deck with outdoor dining table and chairs.
Outdoors you will find a fenced, waterfront backyard with private swimming pool, a charcoal grill, and floating boat dock. Get out on the water with the two kayaks and paddle boards and explore the marshes and bay or even pull up on one of the many sandbars. The beach is an easy 9-10 minute walk or use the available golf cart and bicycles. Sunset Beach has recently implemented paid parking. Parking will be free for our renters when using our golf cart. Renters will be responsible for paying the parking fee if they use their personal vehicle anywhere but the driveway at 1518 N Shore Drive. No pets please.

We had another fantastic week at North Shore Dr. This was our 42 year gathering at Sunset Beach and our 2nd consecutive year at this house. We have already booked our week for next year as well. The house accommodations, layout, amenities such as the pool, deep water dock, and access to the ICW make this house check all the boxes for us.We had some initial issues with the downstairs AC unit, but kudos to the owner and family for addressing it right away. Owner and her son-in-law were wonderfully responsive and concerned about our comfort.

Second year at this home and it has everything we need from fishing to going to the beach to chilling at the pool great home.

We had high expectations for this trip, especially considering the cost for a week. Unfortunately, the home is in major need of TLC/repairs/deep cleaning. Our experience was disappointing, but we tried to make the best of it after having messaged the host multiple times (she did respond). Wifi kept crashing (multiple times daily). Dresser missing knob and other knobs loose. There is a bizarre spot under queen bed on the floor. The floor planks were lifting in a few spots in kitchen. Common room furniture needs upgraded -far too low and uncomfortable. An end table in living room was not usable. A few of the lamps nearly fell apart upon turning on/off. Home was not thoroughly cleaned - black mold in shower; exhaust fans so dusty, would not run, so we cleaned it so it would work. Only 1 dish towel & 1 spatula provided. Linens have historically provided beach towels when a pool is an ammenity; none were provided and had to purchase them upon arrival. Pool is a mess. Switch to pool light is broken; spring is just laying in the box. Several chipped dishes - Plastic cups would have been useful. Washer and dryer were great, but no clothes basket provided. There was junk/metal chairs leaning on the outside of the house. The dishwasher dripped onto floor when running. Blind in king bathroom is broken (string).Sinks leak when fully turned on in larger king bathroom and double queen room bathroom. Previous renter left beer can on balcony that was apparently missed by housekeeping.
