About this house rental
Located in Siesta Beach, this lovely house for $302 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. This 3 story unit is a 3 Bedroom / 3.5 Bathroom house with spectacular views from every bedroom and private beach access. The house is located a short 2 minute drive to Siesta Key Village, which has the best dining and shopping options on the island. Although you won't have to go any farther than your own backyard to get to Siesta Beach, the #1 rated beach in the USA. This 99.9% pure quartz white sand beach is why people come from all over the world to Siesta Key. There is a one car garage on the main floor, and a nice covered private stairway taking you up to the first floor of the unit. When you enter the house you immediately step into the open concept living room. With plenty of seating, a large television, and million dollar ocean views, this is where you'll probably spend most of your time in the house. The fully equipped kitchen is adjacent to the family room. There is a 4 seat dining table in the kitchen, a screened in balcony right off the kitchen with seating for 2, and a large formal dining table on the other side of the family room with incredible ocean views. With plenty of dining areas, you'll look forward to relaxing and taking in the views while you eat. At the base of the stairway on the main floor there is a 1/2 bathroom which gives access to those in the kitchen and dining areas. When you go up to the second floor you'll find 2 bedrooms. The Master bedroom with a king size bed, walk in closet, and huge sunroom balcony with sliding glass doors and epic ocean views. The en suite Master bathroom is equipped with a double vanity, shower, and large bathtub. The second bedroom on this floor has a vaulted ceiling, and two twin beds with another covered balcony with views out the front of the house. Just outside this bedroom in the hallway is a full bathroom with shower/tub combination. With your own washer and dyer on this floor doing the laundry is as convenient as possible. As you go up to the third floor you'll find a huge guest bedroom with 2 double beds, more closet space, another TV, and yet another spectacular view from the balcony looking over Siesta Beach. This bedroom offers another full en suite bathroom for convenience. And to make this house even more incredible you've got a private BBQ outside on the ground floor with seating, countertops, and plenty of food prep area. The beach access trail is accessible from here, and an outdoor shower right around the corner make this vacation a great indoor/outdoor living experience.

House was clean. Beds need some updating. We brought our beach things but there was plenty in garage. Plan on going to grocery store for the norm. We bought 2 pans for cooking as ones at house everything sticks to. Plenty of hot water for 8 of us. Ac work good for us. There are nicer houses I. The area but the location is worth the money. People everywhere at the public access to the beach but the trail from house to beach was perfect. Water is clear. 5ft deep and can see bottom. Like I said “perfect spot”

Cons-
The king bed I personally slept in needs replaced. We all slumped into the middle, the mattress seems old and worn out. Getting a quality mattress in there would of made this visit 100x better. Unsure about the others as i can only review the one I slept in.
Also with the king bedroom there is no curtains. There are shades that pull down but there was no stopping the sun from entering. Would recommend the owner to add some blackout curtains to allow guests to decide if they wanna sleep in on their vacation. Even the moon was so bright one night it took forever to fall asleep.
Lastly, the temperature setting. The agreement was no lower than 73. We were all miserable with the heat. 73 was not a comfortable temperature for us. We tried to all sleep in very thin layer of clothing and we used a sheet but even then we were so hot. The box fan helped a little but again, I know bills can be pricey but for the comfort of guests the flexibility would have been amazing had we been able to lower it a few more degrees because we did not get 1 good night of solid sleep the whole week unfortunately.

The condo was neat and clean with direct access to the beach. The village was within walking distance so we were able to travel from the condo to the village multiple times during the day/night for food, shopping, and fun.

Needs improvement: The kitchen is stocked with a good selection of pots and pans. However, the dinner ware is in need of updating (only 5 plates). Not enough plates for an 8-person service. Fortunately, someone had left enough disposable plastic plates to make due. There is enough flatware for dinner service. But missing basic things like measuring cups and spoons.
Refrigerator handle is held on by a wood screw, a new handle is about $30. The recliner does not recline, the mechanism is broken and held on by drywall screws. As noted in other reviews, some dining room chairs are held together with masking tape which has failed. Some wood glue, a clamp and 30 minutes, problem fixed. Light bulbs inside and outside, more don’t work than do.
As noted, bedding throughout desperately needs to be updated. Sheets, pillows and mattress pads are VERY worn and in need of replacement.
Property is clean and appears recently painted inside. Flooring looks like it has recently been replaced. With a bit of attention to detail, this could be even better than it already is.
FYI. If you are new to Siesta Key, Rent Siesta does not abide by first right of refusal like every other beach community in the US. They will back door VRBO and take the weeks you are staying without giving you the option to reserve for the following year.

The view is amazing, location is very good right on the beach and very close to delicious restaurants, very spacious area with beautiful views, the only things we did not like were first the floor wasnt so clean, and the masterbed was very uncomfortable, hurt our backs, and the bed sheets were to small, we had to fix them constantly.

The listing very accurately reflects the property. The location and views are phenomenal - it is a nice 1/2 mile walk to a very nice downtown with several good bars and restaurants. This is a 4 level home with some steep stairways. It would not be ideal for kids or older adults. Very good value with a very good location though!

Goregeous Beach!
We have been staying at Siesta Key for the past 25 years and we never get tired of the beautiful, white sand beach. The condo was clean, beds comfortable but it could use a few more baking dishes. It was perfect for our family of seven.

This rental could be great: nice location on beach, plenty of room, Roku TVs in each bedroom. However, the property did not meet the standards of the many VRBO rentals we've stayed in over the years.
Our main complaint is that the house was filthy inside and out. The grounds were littered with bottle caps, cigarette butts, broken glass, and even gum stuck on the outside counter. The bannisters were brown with dirt. Inside, the floors were sticky. The carpeted stairs were stained and had visible piles of sand on them. The carpet was so threadbare, my daughter cut her heel on an exposed tack/staple. The kitchen surfaces were clean, but we found dirty cookie sheets in the oven. Two dining chairs were also broken, and the exterior door lock stopped working while we were there (although the maintenance person did repair that).
In addition, the house lacked small amenities one would expect for $4300/week. We had a tiny bar of soap and a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, but no towels (they were in a bedroom closet) or other complimentary toiletries. The kitchen was equipped with the bare necessities: one garbage bag, a paper towel roll, salt and pepper.
I contacted the rental company, Siesta Key Rentals, about the front door lock and to ask for a one-hour extension to our 10AM check out time. The lock was fixed but the extension was denied. The person I spoke with suggested we ask for a partial "rebate" or refund due to the problems we'd found, which I did; that too was denied. Oddly, when I received this denial, the property manager accused us of having opened a complaint with the BBB regarding the check out time. We did not do this--perhaps another renter had?
In its current state and price, I would definitely not recommend this rental property.

For instance - more than a single garbage bag, a recycling container in the kitchen, a small container of cleaner (like windex) to help keep the glass kitchen table clean, etc. Overall the place was great, but for the price the lack of the small things was noticeable.
