About this house rental
Nestled in West Linn, this lovely house for $138 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Spring is a wonderful time to stay at The Stonehouse. Boulders and trees are covered with emerald glowing moss, flowers and trees are blooming, and squirrels are putting on quite a show. Love bird watching? Enjoy all the many varieties over a cup coffee as you lounge on the patio in front of the fire table. Or take a walk up the path, located just above the driveway, to the lookout over Oregon City and Portland. The Stonehouse is a very private 1000sq. ft. daylight basement apartment surrounded by Waterboard Park just above historic Oregon City (winner of 2018 Great American Main Street Award.) Located on an original rock quarry, you will feel like you are in a scene from the Twilight movie. A garden path leads to your own separate keyless entry, which opens to the living room, dining room and kitchen. The living room has big comfy chairs that are a great place to curl up with a good book or watch your favorite show. If you enjoy cooking or barbecing, the kitchen is well stocked with the tools you'll need, including convection oven and full size refrigerator. We think you will especially enjoy the quiet and comfort of your bedroom. There is no road noise to disturb your sleep. Blackout curtains, pristine white sheets, lots of pillows and extra blankets are all provided to enhance your sleeping experience. If you want city, use the bus system to reach Portland or stroll to downtown Oregon City via the elevator to explore wonderful restaurants, bars, and shops. So many of our guests have been surprised by the beauty and peace of The Stonehouse. We think you will be too. Come see why we call Oregon home. We look forward to hearing from you.

Our stay at the Stonehouse was perfect. The accommodations were beautiful, spacious, clean, secure, and well appointed. The gardens and grounds were magnificent and provided a lovely setting for us to play outside with our grandchildren and have all our family meals. The hosts were friendly, communicative, and professional. We're looking forward to coming back to stay at the Stonehouse whenever we return to the charming town Oregon City.

We decided to book The Stonehouse based upon the unbelievably beautiful setting and appearance of the property, although we wondered: could this place be as amazing as it appears? What others said in prior reviews seemed to confirm what the pictures and description of the property conveyed. Now that we have stayed at the house, we can also say the same. If you are interested in a very quaint and private VRBO in an gorgeous natural setting, look no further! We found this property to be exceptionally clean with everything we could think of to make the stay comfortable and relaxing. The owners are impeccable hosts, working so hard to make your stay the best that it can be, interested in attending to every detail. The surrounding area is very walkable/hikeable and we enjoyed the park near the property, as well as walking to explore the surrounding area. The Stonehouse truly was a home away from home, but even better, as our back yard cannot compare to this one!

Lovely quiet location with amazing landscaping/views. The inside was super nice, clean and very comfortable. Kitchen supplies and appliances were great. Lighting was good. Also, inside was an amazing stone wall! Bonus: HIKING Trail into Oregon City!

The setting here is so beautiful. The grounds are immaculate and tended to very lovingly. The apartment was stocked better than any VRBO we have stayed at in the past.. It also looked exactly like it was advertised. Owners were wonderful.

This property is in the most spectacular setting possible. On the ridge above the Willamette River with views of the entire valley including all the area mountains and downtown Portland. Spectacular sunrises AND sunsets right from the property. Easy walking access to the view point (that you can also drive to) from a trailhead just by the driveway. There is a beautiful outdoor table with 6 chairs, a gas fire table with 4 cushioned chairs, a fire pit with several chairs around, a tire swing!!, flawless landscaping, and the mist goes on.
The inside property is very clean with all the modern amenities and everything you could need. The hosts were very prompt in responding to any questions. They were also very kind in giving recommendations for other things to do and see while in the area. Highly recommend!!

Oregon City visit
We stayed for a week at the property and enjoyed its location very much. A relaxing, quiet home base to escape back to after some busy sightseeing day trips. Nothing like a retreat to the cool pines to put you at ease.
The hosts are very communicative and accommodating. They take pride in what they do.

AMAZING
The PORCH was a wonderful VRBO and we very much enjoyed both the living quarters and the AMAZING private outside area. The hosts were fantastic- attentive, friendly and helpful. If you enjoy cooking, the kitchen is well stocked. Highly recommend.

A Home Away From Home!!!
I can not recommend this property enough! The setting is breathtaking, surrounded by beautiful trees and a stunning view of Oregon City. There’s a private entrance and easy parking, a stocked kitchen, a comfortable family room, two spacious bedrooms, and a beautiful bedroom. My wife, daughter, and I felt so at home here and were really spoiled by how wonderful the location is.
To top it off, the owners are absolutely fabulous. Incredibly kind, helpful, and responsive. They went out of their way to ensure that our stay was comfortable…they even worked with us before checking in to figure out a furniture layout that would work best for us. They were quick to answer any questions we had and just a delight to chat with.
Like I said, I can’t recommend this property enough. We even extended our stay by another month because we loved it so much.
