Woodland Trails Cabin with 3 bedrooms on 130 acres with miles of private trails
About this cabin rental
Situated in Wisconsin, this attractive cabin for $200 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. The Woodland Trails Cabin overlooks the St. Croix River Valley. Located on 130 acres, there are over three miles of private trails for hiking and snowshoeing (we provide snowshoes). From May through October, a complimentary Golf Cart is provided for touring the trails in comfort. Your well-behaved one or two dogs are welcome. This cabin has all the modern conveniences including air conditioning, wood-burning fireplace, internet, two TVs and a spacious, fully-equipped kitchen. Outside there is a fire pit with wood provided. Bring your four-wheelers or snowmobiles. In Pine County, it is legal to ride on the roadside to a major trail system 1/2 mile north of the cabin. We have plenty of parking for trailers. While our address is Hinckley, we are located 23 miles east of Hinckley, near the St. Croix River and the Wisconsin border. We are just four miles from Danbury, Wisconsin. We are an easy two-hour drive from the Twin Cities, St. Cloud or Eau Claire and just over an hour from Duluth. Besides enjoying the view, perhaps with a real-wood fire in the fireplace, guests enjoy watching the birds at feeders outside. Two casinos are nearby: St. Croix Casino in Danbury and Grand Casino in Hinckley. Canoeing and tubing on the St. Croix and Namekagan Rivers through Pardun Conoe Rental in Danbury. Four-wheeling? Bring yours or rent from Throttle RX Rentals in Danbury. St. Croix State Park, Minnesota's largest, has activities in every season. Crex Meadows Wildlife Area in Grantsburg has great wildlife watching, particularly during spring and fall migrations. Forts Folle Avoine in Webster, Wisconsin is a reproduction of an 1803 fur trading post. What are your interests? Let us know and we will be happy to make suggestions. We have been to Woodland trails many times! Cabin is clean, comfortable and beautifully located. Enjoyed watching the birds and other wildlife. Our favorite place to stay and unwind away from home!

We stayed years back when the Lodge was a bed and breakfast, and was completely satisfied and impressed with with the accommodations. Was even more impressed with our stay at the cabin. It had everything you would need, and also had some special touches. The wine in the refrigerator, the robes and slippers, just a first class place to stay. We will definitely be coming back.

This cabin provided all the comforts of home, plus more! We enjoyed walking the expansive wooded, private trails on the property (trail maps provided), and then coming back to the cabin to a cozy fire in the fireplace. We arrived to the cabin with soft music playing, wine in the refrigerator and lamps on in every room....very inviting! The owners provided a detailed notebook on information that visitors may need during their stay. We loved it here and have already booked next year's stay.

We had a wonderful time. The golf cart with the trails was a highlight, along with watching all the birds. We spent many hours sitting out in the screened porch with conversation, good food and drinks along w the sounds of nature. Our father-daughter get away was perfect.

Enjoyd the accommodations fully. They were in perfect condition. The best VRBO we've been to and weve been to many. Loved watching the birds on feeders, including pileated woodpeckers.Great trails on the property and innearby areas. Good local restaurants.

This cabin is fabulous! So many little touches and things you didn't even know you might want (waffle maker) in a cabin.
Beautifully decorated and everything carefully set up for new arrivals, such as a fire pit ready to be lit.
Extensive and well-signed trails throughout the property, with additional details about how the land is maintained.
A bit of outside noise from the road in the valley, but you hear it inside.

The cabin was just as described with all the items you would need during your stay. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch with the view of the bird feeders. There was a pair of binoculars and a bird book to identify the birds. The cabin is also close to several good restaurants in Danbury. It is also close to Pardun's Canoe rental which was the perfect 2 hour trip. All in all a very relaxing and peaceful vacation. We'll be back soon!

Love our stay. Perfect for our family of 5 - us and our two 21 year daughters and 15 year old daughter. Love the nature and exploring in the golf cart. Saw many birds right outside the windows - finches, woodpeckers, hummingbirds and many more. Deer in the drive. So much to see. House was great. Loved it.

We really enjoyed our time here. Endless bird watching. Relaxing screened in porch. I could’ve sat out there all day listening to the birds and reading a book. The golf cart was so nice to use to explore all the trails. Our boys enjoyed all the scenery. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice, quiet place to stay.

Our family had a wonderful Easter at your property. Really appreciated all the little personal touches. Everything was as described and more. The kitchen was well supplied, including some things I don’t even have in my own kitchen. The beds and bedding were amazing. The house was cozy, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the location and watching the birds and squirrels. We left feeling rested and relaxed. We highly recommend and would stay there again.

We have stayed in many VRBO's and cabins and have been looking for one that had everything that made us comfortable to make it so we come again and this one was it! From the moment we walked in we felt comfortable and felt at home. The cabin is beautiful and very clean. Amazing kitchen and comfortable beds. We loved the fireplace with snow outside and the walking trails for our dog. It was an excellent trip.

We absolutely love it here! This was our third time visiting and each time it feels like home. The cabin is well-stocked, a great kitchen, comfortable beds and being welcomed by the fireplace where the wood is stacked, prepared and just needs to be lit is one of the many thoughtful things John & Sandra do. We love all the hiking trails, bird watching and cruising around on the golf cart. Highly recommend!

They think of everything in hospitality. Perfect place to hunker in to cook and walk private trails. The owners share their great property with guests—excellent trails with map to find your way. Our only challenge was distinguishing our rental cabin frim another on site. Sign too small to see when arriving after dark and codes for both were the same. Also lighting was beautiful for ambience but a task light for reading would be the only improvement I can think of. Truly a top VRBO at a very fair price. Thank you for such a thoughtful, comfortable peaceful stay for humans and our beloved dog.

The cabin was exactly as described - clean, well stocked with what you want and need for a great stay. Beds were very good, kitchen well stocked with china, silverware and cooking utensils, pots and pans, etc. Very clean and well organized. My only suggestion is to get a larger outdoor gas grill - the current one is very small and does not generate as much heat as we would have preferred. Overall, one of the best VRBOs we have stayed in. The bird feeder is amazing...

Absolutely love this property. This is our second time visiting, we had the entire place to ourselves. Our dogs loved running the trails and my husband loves the golf cart option vs hiking. The cabin is so cozy, and kept up. I spent most of the time on the 3 season porch hoping Fred would come by but we missed him again. Tons of amenities, the coffee they provide is perfect. John and Sandra are so welcoming and generous. I literally can't say a bad thing about it this rental.

Such a great weekend! Only regret is we didn’t stay 3 nights instead of 2. The cabin was fantastic with a great kitchen, comfy beds, great furniture and lovely lay out. Loved all of it! We took advantage of all the trails and did lots of hiking with our dog. Fun to try out the golf cart also. So glad we found this place!

Overall the property was again perfect for our group- we enjoyed the birds, squirrels and deer that run the property. The golf cart is an added enjoyment. We met Todd who was very responsive to a couple of request for wood and propane.

We arrived in daylight so saw the bird feeder with surrounding fall color in the glen looking down the valley. Outstanding.
The cabin had everything we need. I walked our Scottie on a leash down the trail and the field. . . perfect. Beds were comfy, glad for walk in shower, used the coffee grinder:) and my husband and I have already booked a return trip. I make trips with my Adventure Bridge girlfriends as well and am talking to them about this lovely place to stay.
