We really enjoyed our stay in this home. Plenty of parking for 3 vehicles and a garage that allowed storage of all our men’s fishing supplies. Enough room for everyone to have their own space. Easy walk to the beach, restaurants and the pier.

This is the second time staying at this property for our family. The layout works well for us. It is conveniently located within walking distance of some of our favorite restaurants and the Kure Beach pier. Also a short distance to Carolina Beach and Fort Fisher. Excellent communication with property owner/manager. Look forward to staying again in the future.

House is in a great place with a beautiful view and so close to the beach. There are some issues that need a handyman. The door to the garbage area is stuck open. The towel bar in the lower level bathroom fell off the wall. You may want to talk to your cleaning staff. One of the towels in the the lower level bathroom had a ball of hair in it. One of the shades in the window facing the beach is broken

The house was perfect for our family beach trip and was well stocked for all the cooking we did. It was great having the beach so close since we had a baby who needed naps and we could go back and forth from the house easily. It's also a short walk to the pier and several restaurants. The spiral staircase is a bit tricky, but there is an entrance on the floor level so it can be avoided. Highly recommend!

This was our second time staying at “Hit the Beach”. As always, it’s a wonderful location with easy beach access. We were pleased with the addition of the countertop icemaker, and we always love the layout of the property which allows us all together for game night, or to hang out with our coffee in the morning. Unfortunately as with last time several of the amenities don’t work, and repairs are needed.
The TV in downstairs apartment could not pick up the signal that’s located up in the kitchen from the Netgear‘s. The master bedroom TV would not even turn on. The ceiling fan over the dining room table wouldn’t turn on just the light fixture. Several of the lightbulbs throughout the house are burned out and I did not locate any back up lightbulbs. The toilet paper dispenser in the main bathroom is about to fall off the cabinet, as is the cold water handle on the faucet. It does not work properly and therefore you only get a small stream of water. We did have to go purchase some cleaning supplies as the apartment bathroom did not get cleaned nor did the counters and cabinets in the main bathroom. The hardwood floor is in need of a good mopping as well as the carpets could stand a good shampoo or probably a better thought to just remove them completely and put laminate down. Fixing this issues would garner 5 stars.

We had 8 guests total. It was a family trip my son , father in law, brothers and nephews. The house had plenty of room for all of us to spread out. Also great sleeping arrangements with having 4 bedrooms. The house was very nice and clean.The best part is you see the ocean front the deck. Just a few short steps to the ocean. The host responded to our questions quickly. We would definitely recommend to stay here.

Here’s what made our stay great: Host communication prior to our stay was very good. The location to the public beach access was great. The check-in was simple. The kitchen was very well-stocked. The living room was comfortable with plenty of seating. The back deck was comfortable for all 6 of us and provided a good view of the ocean. It was nice to have an outside shower and a protected area to keep our beach stuff.
Upon our arrival, we noticed that the grounds were unkempt, as there were remnants of a water balloon fight, trash, dog-doo, a broken vermin station and the sand-covered grill looked unusable. It was dirty below the kitchen countertops, in drawers, cabinets and the garbage spot. A few living room blinds were broken. Towels from previous guests were left in closet. The living room rug contained a lot of dog hair. We didn't use the downstairs except for the washer and dryer. The washer left grease marks on several pieces of clothing. A short hose would be a nice addition to the shower stall to rinse off stuff.

The property is conveniently located and is large enough for 10 guests. It would benefit for a deep cleaning, especially the downstairs area. The air conditioning units were dirty and the overall humidity smell was intense. The upstairs was decent. Linens and towels were clean. Overall the house could use a TLC but still was a good experience.

Liz was awesome! Quick response time to any questions. Adorable house with the perfect location in a quiet little beach town. A super short walk to the beach and ice cream. Felt perfectly safe letting the kids walk to the beach and for ice cream and burgers.

Great guys weekend!
The property was better than it looked on line and everything met our expectations. The property management was responsive responding to questions before arrival and even responded to requests once we arrived. The location was nice and within walking distance of a few restaurants. Celebrated two friends turning 40 and had a great time and ample space for the crew. Would stay here again for sure.

The property is in a great location! The fenced yard was perfect for our small dog. I had asked that the porch furniture was cleaned and on porch when we arrived as we had family coming over that evening. Actually I asked this be done three different times and was assured that it would be- it was not. I called Elizabeth and she sent over a very helpful man to clean them off. He cleaned them as well as he could, they were stained with mold and three of the chairs were cracked. The air conditioner and the ice machine were not working. The gentleman was able to get the air conditioner working but the ice machine started working our last day. I was very disappointed with Elizabeth’s lack of follow thru and that I had to call her to find out the status of things. The beach was under construction which made it a hike farther every day as they kept closing the beach as they went along. This is not the managers fault of course but it would have been nice to know. Even the city website doesn’t mention how much of a construction site it is. I would check prior to your arrival.
The house itself is a nice set up but it really needs a very through cleaning. The kitchen cabinets were sticky and dirty, the bathroom had mold in the shower, walls throughout were very dirty. Also, there are no screens in the upstairs portion of the house! The front windows which would allow a nice breeze and to hear the ocean are nailed shut!
That was really disappointing as I love to hear the waves! If you are there in the heat of the summer I would make sure the air conditioner is working because it will be very hot in the main living area. The air worked fine in the bedrooms but not so much in the kitchen, living and dining area- it was only in the 70’s when we were there and it was really warm in those areas during the day. It stated there were beach chairs but I only found one adult and a child’s chair. The adult chair was pretty beat up so we didn’t use it.
I cannot stress enough what a convenient location it was, a beautiful view of the beach and basically a nice set up with the house. I would not use this rental company again though- they should be a lot more aware of what kind of working order and cleanliness the properties the rent out are in. I don’t want to call the property manager with issues while I’m there- the only call I would want to make is to tell them how terrific the rental was. Working with Elizabeth was too much of a hassle.

It sits on the main beach road, making it noisy especially at night. The online pictures are deceiving. The downstairs rooms are hard to access, only have window air units, and smell like a basement. The yard was not mowed, it had tons of ants, and the fencing was broken. The grill was unusable due to filth. With maintenance it could be great property! This property's best feature is solely it's location.

This home was located in a wonderful location.. Great views of the ocean from the porch. Just two overall comments- I agree with previous reviews regarding the porch. Porch needs painted or sanded and watch the nails! The second comment has to do with the basement bedroom and having a musty smell. The basement bedroom is cooled only with a window air conditioner!Overall, the house is nice and we had a great time!

This beach house was in a perfect location! We were in walking distance of the Kure Beach pier, the beach was super close and it was central to Carolina Beach and Ft Fisher! We brought our 2 dogs so I wish I had known Kure Beach doesn’t allow dogs on the beach from April 1st to September 1st. Fortunately, Ft. Fisher does allow dogs and was a quick 6 minute drive. We had a few hiccups with our stay, but Liz was very responsive and took care of our concerns promptly. Overall, we enjoyed our time!
