Communication was excellent between the owner and ourselves, making the place very easy to find. Because we had a later ferry from Kangaroo Island our arrival at second valley was outside the hours they normally meet you on arrival, in the car park. We loved that the heating was on and place was cosy and warm and all set up for us.

Unfortunately the bed in cottage #19 was very uncomfortable for my partner who has a back issue, she complained that the bed sank when she got in & felt like the mattress was old, so consequently didn't get a wonderful night's sleep. Also there seems no mobility provision at the cottages so we had to carry our suitcases up reasonably steep wooden steps from the car park to get to our room, something to be aware of if you have mobility issues. (Maybe the owner if meeting in the car park assists with this?)
