About this house rental
Beautiful lake front, boat dock, kayaks, near Clemson. This large family home sits on beautiful lake Hartwell. Lake Hartwell is famous for great fishing and many water sports. Just a short drive to Clemson University and many beautiful waterfalls. The house has seven bedrooms, five full baths and 2 half baths. Four of the bedrooms have their own private bath. Sleeps 16 very comfortably The house has two well stocked kitchens which allows for plenty of space to spread out. There is a two story gas fireplace, screened porch with lots of seating, large game room with pool table, ping-pong, etc. enjoy the water pad, 5 single kayaks and 2 junior kayaks, and 2 paddle boards. Large gas grill and two porches for outside dining, and nice Charcoal grill. Hot tub and gas fireplace on lower patio with sitting area. Fire pit down near the lake. There is a small charcoal grill as well as chairs and table. Great place for an evening fire or just relaxing by the lake.

This house is perfect for large families. Beautiful views, well stocked kitchen and bathrooms, and clean with plenty of space. Our favorites were the 2 kitchens that were ideal for cooking our Thanksgiving meal, the gameroom where the teenagers spent most of their time, and the multiple bathrooms that allowed us all to get dressed at the same time when needed. It is a fairly remote property so be sure to stock up on anything you may need before you go to the property because stores maybe at least a 15 min drive. But I have no complaints on this house! Sandra was an awesome host and was very accessible although we didn't encounter any issues so we didn't need her. Our family would definitely stay at this property again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room for all of us and the kids really appreciated the toys that were available for them. Would definitely recommend!

Our family had a great time staying at this home. Great location for our daily ‘explorations’ of hiking, waterfalls, and putt-putt golf.
The home had plenty of space for us. The best part, we literally did not have to bring anything but our food to this well stocked home with a perfectly supplied coffee bar.
I wish I could comment about the fun at the community pool. We didn’t go. The kids just wanted to swim and play in the lake with all the water toys supplied by the home. We even caught fish off the dock.

I highly recommend this amazing Lakehouse if you are looking to make very special, unforgettable memories with your family and friends! This Lakehouse includes all of the necessities and amenities you could ask for! This property has everything for everyone with kayaking, paddle boarding, tubing, fishing off the dock, jumping off the rocks, swimming in the lake or at the community pool, corn hole, horseshoes, or just relaxing in comfy chairs making s’mores by the fire pit! The house offers plenty of room with three floors to sleep 16 comfortably! The two kitchens and two laundry rooms are well-equipped with everything you need! We really enjoyed the beautiful, heated spa in the evenings and the kids are now asking for a ping pong and pool table! We loved the time together and are so looking forward to booking this gem again!

This property was absolutely perfect for my family. For the last eight years, we have been doing a family vacation during the summer with our children & grandchildren. This lake house was the best yet and we will definitely book again. The owner's have gone above and beyond to make this vacation rental great. The home is fully stocked with necessities and they provide lake toys for children and adults. The communication with the owners was also exceptional.

We rented the house so that I could spend time with my children and their families. It was the first time all my grandchildren were together in one place. The house, property, and neighborhood were perfect for the 13 of us. We had a very nice time together. My husband and I have rented other homes on lake hartwell. This one was by far the cleanest and the most comfortable. Everything we could have needed was there. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this house. It has plenty of room, plenty of amenities. The owners are fantastic. Being a youth group there were plenty of things for both the kids and the adults to do and enjoy and not get in anyone's way. We were already talking about coming back before we even left!

This property worked well for us as we had someone with limited mobility, it was easy for them to get in the house and the 2 bedrooms on the main level was very helpful. The kitchens were well stocked and was actually very convenient to do some prep downstairs and stay out of the way. Easy access to lake and a ton of fun activities. It is a little off the beaten trail, so depends on what you are looking for.

Perfect home for large, active families. Cleanest house we've ever rented for our annual trip. Dining table for 10, pool table and ping-pong table in good condition, hot tub, kayaks, large gatheting spaces for games, two kitchens, decks, porches, boat dock. Everything you need to build relationships and make memories. Host stated in touch through email, phone and text. We had no needs or problems but knew we could reach someone easily.

Easy process and good communication. The only issue was the 2 younger children were down by the doc with their mother and were getting a beer can out of the water. They must have gotten too close to the neighbors property and he was disrespectful and belligerent to them.

This large house was great for our family reunion. There was plenty of room for everybody. We loved every aspect of the property, from game room to lounging porch. The kayaks and paddle boards were a great hit, as were the ping pong and pool tables. With two kitchens, meal prep was a breeze. Thank you to the Bishops.

My fiancé and I stayed at the Lakehouse with our bridesmaids, groomsmen, and their significant others! We came from multiple states so we wanted a quiet place with plenty of room. The house was big, clean, and had so much kitchen/fridge space for everything we needed! We loved it and had an amazing time! The renters were quick to answer and provided everything! Definitely would return.

Absolutely perfect!!! From the house, to the owners. We could not have had a better experience. The house is actually better than pictures. Tons of room. Comfortable beds. Very clean. Everything you could possibly need in both kitchens. Having a full kitchen on lower level was great for running in from the lake for a quick lunch.

Fully “loaded” house -kayaks, vests, water toys and indoors - pool table and pingpong; - kitchen has basic Needs and bathrooms are well stocked. It feels more like a family or a good friend letting you use their house rather than a VRBO rental. Appreciated all the supplies.

A great time!
We had a blast! Beautiful lake with lots to do. The house was clean and comfortable. We had plenty of room for sleeping, cooking and eating. We had lots of good times kayaking, playing games in the game room, and hanging out at the fire pit.

This was such. Large home and our family of 12 had room to move. Never felt like we were on top of each other. The view was excellent and relaxing. We had many pool tournaments and ping pong matches. Host was great to work with and reached out to check in a few times.

Shaw family reunion
This property was absolutely perfect for us! We had king sized beds with bathrooms for each couple, a room for the 5 & 8 year old boys, a room for the 6 & 10 year old girls, and a room big enough for the family with the 2 year old to easily fit in a pack & play. We had so much space to spread out in when needed and all be together when we wanted. Many things to do within an hour or so drive plus the home is so great, you don’t need to go anywhere if you don’t want to. An altogether fabulous family time!!
