Gorgeous & Historic 3 BR Log Cabin w\/ Forest Views \/ 20 Minutes from Flagstaff\/
About this house rental
Nestled in Parks, this charming house for $209 per night is a great option for your next vacation. This beautiful cabin that we refer to as"The Ponderosa," is located on the edge of the Kaibab forest, which provides our guests with a stunning view. 3 Bed, 2 Bath, Sleeps 8+ It has a full kitchen, 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. The bedrooms include 1 king & 2 queen beds. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, pots & pans. On the north & east sides of this relaxing retreat is the forest, along with a picnic table, BBQ grill & fire ring with patio chairs. We call it 'The Ponderosa' because it's surrounded by tall Ponderosa pines. Given that Arizona has the largest spread of this particular, highly desired tree in the U.S., we thought this title would be very appropriate. Looking east on a quiet evening, especially during a full moon, the Elk come in so close you can hear them pull the grass up. You may also hear the coyotes howling at night, in the far distance gathering up their pack. We provide a TV & DVD player. Nature provides much more than we possibly could. The Fireplace is decorative only. Please note that there are five beautiful cabins on site that are different sizes. All are unique and beautiful. This provides the perfect opportunity to bring families and friends together for reunions or other events. This is a No-Smoking property. Pets are considered, however we asked that you keep "4 on the floor" as we say in our house. Pets are not allowed on furniture or bedding. Also, please pick up after them outside. We usually allow one small to medium size dog. No vicious breeds. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions. There is a $50 pet fee per dog. Professionally managed by Kathryn Duncan, Owner/Designated Broker, at KD Prime Properties.

Location is nice road in front is busy and nothing in front to give privacy or break up noise. House is as stated had everything you needed. It does needs a good deep cleaning as fan and nick nacks need to be cleaned and shade on porch would be nice since no close trees and it was hot and no AC so house does get warm during the day and into the evening. We left a day early due to heat. We would stay again just not in midsummer.

Great location between Flagstaff and Williams. Quiet location off of the highway.
As it states in the description - this is a company managed property, and you can tell. Its not the same level of focus as an owner managed VRBO.
Kitchen is minimally equipped. Sufficient dishes, cutlery, etc. Space for a dishwasher exists, but doesnt have a dishwasher. The expectation is to wash all dishes and return to their appropriate place at check out. However there is just 1 hand towel and wash cloth in the kitchen. So after using this for everything, at checkout you need to dry the dishes with this same towel (no time to air dry).
There is just 1 hot pad glove. So you need to use the dishtowel as a hot pad as well.
Microwave is new, however limited microwave safe bowls.
Other items need maintenance - picknick table missing boards, shower fills up with water and slowly drains.
Pantry is full of "stuff", cleaning items, paints, decorations, etc - not useable. Laundry cabinets and bedroom closets are the same. Most places have a dedicated/lock storage room for these items.
Interesting & quiet place, cool weather, close to Flagstaff and Williams, just needs more owner like focus

Very basic everything, with a table and chairs that are falling apart or are about to. No wifi available and depending on carrier no signal as well. Outdoors was missing a bench around fireplace. House was clean enough except some dirty dishes, but did appreciate deli a 5 minute walk away and basic checkout.

The property is in a great location backing on national forest. It is nicely decorated with a western motif. Beds are comfortable. The only drawback is the lack of WiFi and cell signal is not all that strong to create your own hotspot. Otherwise a nice place for a family to stay to explore the Grand Canyon, Petrified forest and Meteor Crater.

We enjoyed our stay at the Ponderosa. The cabin was clean and comfortable. It met all of our needs and we felt right at home. We had great communication from the property managers and the check-in process went smoothly. My kids were excited to see the complementary snacks when we arrived. It helped them feel better after our long drive. The temperature in Park was about ten degrees cooler than at home and it felt amazing to get out of the heat.
We were coming from Utah, where the air was filled with smoke from the fires in California and Oregon. It was wonderful to escape to a place where the skies were blue and the air was fresh. We loved the scenery surrounding our cabin and in the Flagstaff area. And, of course, the Grand Canyon was spectacular.
Some of the comments I've read in the reviews for this property talked about noise from traffic and the train nearby. Our experience was that the road in front of the cabin was busier than we would have expected but the noise from the traffic wasn't loud enough that we noticed it. The railroad is fairly close (something like a half mile to a mile away) and we could hear the trains blow their whistles. During the day it wasn't loud enough to disturb us. At night, I didn't have much trouble with it. My husband, on the other hand, is a light sleeper and he did wake up sometimes when he heard the trains.
When we were considering this property, I saw that there were three beds but the listing said the cabin sleeps eight. I wondered where the extra two people would sleep and I didn't see anything about that in the listing or the reviews. I thought that the couch might have a hide-away bed. That isn't the case. There is an air mattress in the master closet for you to use if you need an extra bed. We didn't use it but I think it's important for prospective renters to have that information.
If I could suggest one thing that could have improved our experience, I would suggest sharper knives or a knife sharpener in the kitchen.
Overall, we had a great experience. We would rent here again.

The cabin was just the right size for our family of 6- 2 parents and 4 young adult children. Easy access to the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, and Williams. It was clean and had all of the necessities. The only issue was that area was experiencing a heat wave and the cabin got a little warm- but fans were provided and we were comfortable.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The property was clean and the beds were comfortable. There's a beautiful view of the woods outback and trails nearby. It's a short drive from Williams where you'll find fun shops and restaurants. It's a quiet area, a great place to get away from some quality R&R.

Nice house to come back to after a day of seeing the sites. Short drives to Flagstaff, Sedona and Grand Canyon. Rare heat wave while we were there, so we were in no rush to get back to the house (no A/C). Plenty of fans cooled it off quickly in the evening. It got surprisingly chilly at night. Historic Route 66 store on the corner. Close by... Lava tube cave, Deer Park. Great house for a family or two hitting the slopes or sites. We'd go back.

Our family did a weekend stay and it was amazing! It was everything we hoped for…quiet, peaceful, great scenery, close to Grand Canyon. Due to a flat tire we needed a ride to Flagstaff airport to get new rental. No ride shares or taxis available. Matt from property management picked us up and gave us a ride to airport. Could not recommend enough!!!

We really enjoyed our stay on this lovely property. The location is private, with a lot of space in between neighbors. The backyard is spacious with wonderful views of the forest and snow from the back deck. The property manager provided detailed instructions prior to our stay, so we had no questions. There’s also a historic cafe on Route 66 nearby, with the most delicious breakfast burritos.

Cute home that fit our family very well. My kiddos enjoyed the backyard and exploring in the trees. The beds were very comfy and everything was clean. I was worried about the train but, it was not as bad I thought it might be. What I was surprised at was the traffic noise. The master bedroom faces the street and it was disruptive at times. Sitting out on the back porch enjoying the night sky in the darkness of the location the car noise was a true bummer. I also wish there was sheet pans for baking and plastic container for the microwave. Thank you!

Ponderosa
The property was very welcoming. The house had a very good layout for three couples staying there. The location was good, railroad tracks are about 3/4 mile away, but didn't really bother us or have an impact on our stay. There wasn't any cell phone service, which was fine for all of us. The back porch was a great gathering spot for afternoon happy hour or just to enjoy the weather. On the edge of the forest when we got there were several cows, which was cool. Also was an easy drive to the Grand Canyon, about an hour. With no lights in the vicinity, we could see lots of stars.

Great Location and Friendly neighbors
Our stay was wonderful and had a great time with our grandchildren during the 4th of July parade that Parks put on. I wish that the home had AC because is was unbelievably hot during our stay. Also, the exhaust fans in the bathrooms were filthy and paint peeling off the home on the back patio that was disappointing. The home is spacious and decorated nicely.
The management of the home was excellent and quick to respond to any of my questions during check in.

Perfect for Us!
We loved the central but off the road location. It was a quick drive to Flagstaff or Williams. The cabin was clean and comfy, we felt right at home. Our toddler loved exploring the back yard and seeing the elk back in the woods was an extra treat. Highly recommended. They did have a packnplay on hand also!
