About this house rental
Located in Whidbey Island, this attractive house for $516 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Welcome to the newly remodeled vacation rental on Sunset Beach on Whidbey Island. Our Home has been completely remodeled with the vacation rental guest in mind, providing all the amenities you will need including air conditioning. As frequent vacation rental guests ourselves, we have gone to great lengths to create a home that's as welcoming and relaxing as possible. The home itself features high end finishes and luxurious but comfortable design throughout. Outside you'll experience one of the only no bank waterfront beaches on Whidbey Island and perhaps what may be the most unique and spectacular settings on the entire West Coast. To the Southwest you'll see the Olympic Mountains seemingly rising straight from the water, to the West is an unobstructed view all the way to the horizon out the Straight of Juan de Fuca and to the Northwest is Vancouver Island and the San Juan Islands. All viewed literally a few feet from the waters edge. From our deck we have witnessed Orca whales, porpoises, sea otters, harbor seals, bald eagles, great blue herons, leaping salmon and so many species of sea birds we can't even begin to count! Using our own concrete stairway you can access and walk along the entire beach at low tide and later feel the spray of the waves crashing against the rocks as you lounge in the hot tub. For no-step access to the beach, you can visit one of the two parks just 1/4 mile in either direction, an easy walk or a short drive. You can easily drive onto Whidbey Island to Waypoint Northwest, and grocery shopping, wine tasting and hiking are all within a 10 minute drive. About the Name. A waypoint is defined as a stopping point on a journey, or a reference point that helps us know where we are and where we’re going. For centuries mariners have used waypoints to navigate a chosen route, and still do to this day. Modern anglers use GPS waypoints as a tool that allows them to return again and again to their favorite fishing holes. Whether a stopping point along your journey or a destination to which you return over and over, we hope you’ll consider our home to be just such a place. Welcome to Waypoint Northwest!

This home is beautiful and we had the most enjoyable stay! Gorgeous views always, but watching the sunset over the ocean from the hot tub on the beach was just Heaven! My daughter and I loved walking on the beach, skipping shells (we are lousy at skipping rocks but some of those clam shells could really hop LOL), playing pool in the converted garage, and lounging in the comfy chairs in the master room looking out at the water. Everything felt luxurious. We wanted to move in and stay forever. The beds were great, and I slept much better than usual while traveling. I appreciated having closet space to put things away (so many VRBOs have all the closets locked, this was a very pleasant surprise).
I can not thank the host enough for all her kindness to us. Truly. You made this little getaway the highlight of our year. This is our third vrbo on Whitby Island, and probably the 10th or 12th rental in the past 7 years...it is also the only one that I have ever been anxious to return to. Thank you!!

My husband and I snuck away from everything last Christmas, and stayed at this wonderful property over the holiday. It was bliss... I cannot lie. After, we decided to book the house for a long weekend in August, and upon arriving... it felt like old home week. The house was clean, a bottle of wine waited for us on the counter, and everything was in place for us to relax and enjoy. This is a special property. People can be out on their decks up and down the beach... you don't hear them. The sunsets are amazing. The house easily feels like an extension of home... The hosts are amazing, available and engaged. This is a gem... and we're coming back a 3rd time for sure!

We stayed here for a week in June and had an amazing stay! This house is beyond beautiful inside with gorgeous views outside! The home is beautifully decorated and stocked with everything you’ll ever need. The beds and bedding were all extremely comfortable. We loved watching the wildlife (bald eagles, sea otters) in the mornings on the beach and the sunsets in the evenings from the hot tub. We also enjoyed warming up on chilly nights in front of the fireplaces. We stay in a lot of vacation rentals and this home by far is our favorite. Everything about it was perfect!

Wonderful Holiday
My husband and I ran away from home this Christmas... and boy was it fun. The house was wonderful... even had a Christmas tree up, which we did not expect at all. The owners were awesome. Quick to answer all of our questions. The weather was crazy... stormy seas & snow. We drove our Audi S5, and were pleased to find that we were able to park it in their garage vs. leaving it out in the cold. We will be staying here again in the summer... wonderful trip. Thanks Susan & Derek. You are 5 stars all the way.

Absolutely beautiful waterfront views with huge windows! Clean, cozy and had Everything you would need supplied by the Host! A true Oasis with my family. Plus the wildlife is all around. From eagles to sea otters snacking on fish. The beach walking is also fantastic!

WOW was the first word we both said out loud as soon as we walked in the front door and saw the view of the water and everything else about this home. it is beautifully decorated and super comfortable. The owners have provided so many extras that we've never found in any other vacation rental we've stayed in and we've stayed in a lot. So thoughtful and very much appreciated.

A Perfect Honeymoon Getaway
My wife and I booked this property for our honeymoon and were absolutely blown away. Susan’s place is gorgeous and the views are incredible. Every detail was thought through and prepared for guests, from the Keurig coffee makers to the stocked kitchen. We loved our stay here and hope to come back soon!

Friends reunion
I’ve stayed at this property before and it’s nothing but perfect. My friends from Chicago were visiting Seattle and they wanted to check out one of the islands. I brought them here because I knew it would be a great experience for them. The views are stunning and there’s so much to do around the area. Take a drive to deception pass, or go a bit farther north to Taylor’s Shellfish farms for fresh oysters. Also - Susan the owner is very nice. If you have any questions she will get back to you right away. I’m definitely coming back in the future.
