About this house rental
Lorondale Homestead has been held in the same farming family since being built in 1904. This large rustic farm house sits in the middle of the farm with its nearest neighbour being over a kilometre away.
The homestead boasts large bedrooms and spacious living areas and comfortably sleeps 4 couples with maximum beds for 11. Some of the bedding configurations can be changed to suit your preference and pets are allowed by negotiation.
There are two large living rooms, one of which is set up as a dining room with seating for 12 and the other as a lounge room with couches and a sunny window seat. There is also a cosy library/sitting room with a wide selection of books to read and some of the family and farming history available.
Situated between the popular wine regions of Clare and Barossa Valley, and only an hour from Adelaide, the homestead is secluded enough for a relaxing stay and close enough for day visits to wineries or cycling trips.
Full bedding, linen, towels, bath mats and tea towels are provided for your stay.

Great stay for our annual group trip away. House was very cosy and had everything we needed. And the fire pit was exceptional for sitting around and relaxing. We loved it :)

Loved our stay. A great spot to unwind and get away from city life. So nice to walk down the long driveway with open space either side. A beautiful house with loads of history.

Private and peaceful, beautiful views, spacious for groups, lovely garden, fire places and a working pianola! What a treat! Possums, kangaroos, and sheep were among the wildlife we saw (an actual bunny at Easter was pretty magical!) Host was very gracious in receiving feedback and I have confidence that if anyone needed help, they would do their best. Really enjoyed reading the history of the place and wish them all the best with their project!

Diana was excellent to deal with, very responsive. The house had such a beautiful, warm and calming feel. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back again.
