Located in Corolla, this lovely house for $253 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Spend your OBX vacation at Summer Breeze, a beautifully furnished, updated former model home with many extra amenities. Summer Breeze is a unique Corolla rental, with the perfect balance of location, privacy, and opportunities for family fun. Our home rents Sunday to Sunday. Summer Breeze sits deep on a large lot and backs up to the 3rd tee of Currituck golf course. The rooftop deck provides unobstructed, 360-degree views of the ocean, sound, Currituck Lighthouse, and amazing nightly sunsets. After darkness falls, enjoy the spectacular sea of stars and the blinking of the Currituck Lighthouse. Unwind in the hot tub, splash in the private pool, or swing on the porch enjoying the evening breeze. Feeling active? Summer Breeze has a custom-painted cornhole set and a few beach cruiser bikes at your disposal. But it's all about the beach, right? A short walk from Summer Breeze's front door puts your toes in the sand on quiet, spacious beaches in about five minutes. We provide a beach cart, umbrellas, beach chairs, boogie boards, and sand toys to make packing a little easier for guests. Inside Summer Breeze amenities include a 9-foot shuffleboard table, foosball, chess table, and a closet full of puzzles and games. All the bathrooms have wall-mounted hairdryers for your convenience. Each bedroom has a television and VCRs/DVD players are set up throughout the home. A second refrigerator is located in the ground floor rec room to allow easy access to drinks while using the pool and hot tub. There are baby furnishings (pack n play, porta-crib, 3 high chairs, 2 baby gates, 1 booster seat) and a selection of DVD/VHS for the kids to pass time during an evening rain shower or give parents time to enjoy a happy hour cocktail. The long driveway and huge font lawn provide ample space for families to play or express creativity with sidewalk chalk. Ground floor-- Whale Room: Bedroom with 2 pyramid bunk beds, each with a double on the bottom and twin on top. This bedroom has a closet that contains baby equipment. (baby gate, high chair, and booster seat) Rec room with queen sleeper sofa, 42 inch TV, Stereo, and extra refrigerator. There is a mattress topper in the first-floor bathroom for the sleeper sofa if desired. Bathroom with access from inside house and the pool-hot tub area. There is an outside shower. THE POOL IS PROTECTED: by a high fence and 2 gates with a latching device. In order to open the gate, you must reach over the top of the gate. This prevents small children from entering the pool area. There are also outdoor lights over the first-floor decking and hot tub. To turn lights on the plug is located in the far left corner of the pool. Please DO NOT plug and unplug the lights while wet. Second floor- Beach Shack Bedroom: King bed and private bath, TV, access to back deck overlooking the pool. Sea Turtle Bedroom: Queen bed and private bath, private access to back deck overlooking pool. Surf Bedroom: Queen bed and private bath, TV, private access to the front deck. Washer and Dryer in the hallway. Lounge with a 9' shuffleboard table, seating, and table for drinks, wi-fi router is located here. It also has access to the rear deck. The rear deck on this level contains a porch swing and outdoor chairs. There is a 1/2 bath between the 2nd and 3rd levels. Third floor Master Bedroom: King bed and private bath, TV, private access to the screened-in porch with table and chairs. The screened-in porch overlooks the Currituck Golf Course (Tee #3). Full kitchen, dining room and great room, TV. Access to the front deck and rear deck. Gas fireplace. Beautiful views from this level with deck furniture. Rooftop Observation deck: You will be amazed by the views of the sunrise and sunset on this level, and the full 360-degree views of the island. Access is by stairway off the rear 3rd level deck. There is an additional loft off the kitchen that provides a wonderful getaway space, with a game table for checkers, chess, poker, etc. Nice views of the ocean side from the windows on this level.

We truly enjoyed staying at Summer Breeze. The house is so spacious and has a lot to do. Property has a lot of shades and great pool. Easy access to the beach. Appreciated beach gears, toys as well.

We really enjoyed our week! The house was a perfect, family friendly home. Between the pool and the short walk to the beach, everyone was happy! The kitchen allowed us to make some great family meals at home. The master bedrooms were perfect for the adults. The bottom floor was perfect for all the kids. Loved having the bathroom right off the pool. Thanks for a great week!

It was perfect for us. Kids enjoyed the pool as much as the beach. It was nice for everyone to have their own bathrooms and there are lots of places to have some alone time. I would definitly book Ocean Breeze again.

This was our first visit to OBX and I looked at apt of properties before deciding on this one. It provided ample space for everyone to have a bed and not feel on top of each other during the day. Lots of entertainment options and just a 5 minute walk to the beach- very easy. I loved how quiet it was in Corolla and would choose it again. I do suggest having more toilet paper ready when guests arrive (I don’t think the owner needs to supply it for the whole week- but more than one roll would have been nice to get started).All in all a great vacation.

Property was nice and big so all our family could stay without feeling like we were right on top of each other. It was so nice that all of the main rooms had their own bathroom. The pool and hot tub were amazing! I really appreciate that they had a lot of items that you would typically have to bring yourself (laundry detergent, trash bags, beach toys, beach chairs, etc). The beach access was a little bit further than I was expecting but it was still manageable. Having the bikes available made the trip to beach access much quicker. Dottie was very responsive when we had any questions! We had a great stay!

Our families had a great time at this home. Well stocked kitchen and really nice hot tub. Easy walk to the beach. The keys were a bit tricky to use because they seem corroded, but otherwise a great choice if you want to stay on the southern side of Corolla.

Summer Breeze was exactly as described and was a great place to spend the week. It was a short walk to the beach and close to shopping, grocery and restaurants. The pool and hot tub were a fantastic bonus to enjoy for the whole family. Plenty of accommodations for entertaining and it was very clean for my family to feel comfortable in.

The privacy in the pool area was wonderful, we didn't see people in their pools and they didn't see us in ours. We had a couple of issues when we first arrived but the owner and the management company resolved the issues promptly and completely.
We made great use of the chess room but, I think only one game of chess was played. We turned it into a Mahjong room and now my family is just as crazy over the game as I am. The shuffleboard got a good workout as well.We had a wonderful 2 weeks thanks to our host Mary Jones.

The “extras” that typically don’t come with a rental we’re greatly appreciated - bedding, beach towels, bikes, beach cart, beach toys, gates and booster seat for the little one. The house was an easy walk to the beach. The interior was very clean, but the exterior could use a good power wash. There was a lot of dead bugs/frog poop on the walls, balconies.

The only downside at all for us with this property was having to cross the highway to get to the beach. We have several small children in our family and tend to not stay out at the beach for long stretches of time, but come and go throughout the day. Crossing the busy highway each time with a big group and several young children was a little more of an ordeal than we anticipated. The property offers everything that you could need or want for a pleasant stay in OBX. Our family especially enjoyed the bikes that this rental comes with. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Relaxation at Summer Breeze
Summer Breeze is like a home away from home. We travel with the family there in July, but in September it’s just for the two of us. Nothing but rest and relaxation. Mary is always so gracious and readily available for anything you might need. The house is beautiful with new amenities each time we visit. It’s location is perfect! Close to the beach and shopping, but set back from the road for complete peaceful privacy. Can’t wait to return in July!!!

Comfortable and relaxing stay
This is a wonderful property in a good location. Everything you need is provided. It is beautifully decorated. We had such a good time in the pool, at the beach, playing games, and visiting historic sites. Mary is a great host. I would love to return, and I recommend it for an enjoyable vacation.

This house is well-furnished and nicely maintained and is close to the beach and nearby shopping. It was ideal for our 3-generation family vacation. The owner is also very friendly and helpful and was prompt in answering questions.

Overall the property was comfortable and met our needs. The pool area is not inviting at all, some plants and more furniture around the pool would help, and when we were there, we could’ve used a heater and would have been willing to pay extra for that. The kitchen lacked sufficient towels and wash clothes and it desperately needs nonstick cookware. No one wants to spend extra time scrubbing pans while on vacation. The video system in the living room and master bedroom need updating. The “surroundsound“ system is not even hooked up to the TV so I would just remove it and simplify the whole TV settings. Dottie was very helpful and responded promptly to any requests we had and the location is good, close to the beach and close to shopping. Overall, a good experience but could use a little attention to detail. Overall the property is comfortable but needs a little attention to detail.

We absolutely loved this house!Location: It was on a main road but it was so quiet at night. The most noise you hear in the morning are the golfers hitting the golf balls. The house has a house on either side of it, but you have complete privacy due to the trees. The beach is literally a 5-7 minute walk. If you turn left out of the driveway, there's a Harris Teeter grocery store (I highly recommend this over the Food Lion), Tim Buck II shopping plaza, a few bars & restaurants. Check out "Bernies Brother" bar across from the Tim Buck II plaza. The food was great! House: The house was as described. Dottie, the house care taker is super attentive & so friendly. As was Jimmy the pool guy. We were a little thrown off by the property having well water, and we're not used to it, so we just bought bottled water. It had a sulfur smell, but Dottie had that taken care of once we said something. I hope you like stairs because our legs got a work out! Well worth it. Pool/Hottub - No complaints! The pool wasn't heated but we didn't have an issue with that, even though it was May. It warmed up in the sunlight. We spent most of our time in the pool & hot tub. The kitchen had everything we needed for the most part. It had all of the necessities. The bathrooms were stocked with towels & hand soap. I think that pretty much covers everything! We're looking forward to coming back next year & making it a tradition.

Property was very clean and just as pictured. Location was very close to beach and running/bike trail. Had a lot of extras that helped with packing (pack and play, sand toys, bikes) and was isolated from other houses with trees which was very nice. Caretaker and owner were very professional and accommodating. I would definitely use this property again.
