About this house rental
Located in Lead, this attractive house for $663 per night is a great choice for your next break. This spacious home has 3 levels and plenty of room for large families or groups. The home is equipped with 7 bedrooms with 4 full baths and can easily house 19 guests. The three levels include a living room on each level providing space for everyone. The house has 5 king, 3 queen, 2 twin beds and a futon. All bedrooms have tv's with cable. For your entertainment, there is a dart board, pool table, foosball, Boss Toss and a poker table. Outside there is a mini golf course and a horse shoe pit. In the three stall garage, you have a large screen tv and fridge. Between the upper deck and lower patio you have amazing views of the hills. It has easy access to snowmobile, bike and atv trails. This house will not disappoint, it is centrally located between Deadwood and Terry Peak. If more space is needed for additional guests, we have a house down the hill that can accommodate an additional 10 people.

It was a great sized house for our family of 16. We all enjoyed the game room and extra games. Jids enjoyed the hot tub after they got it warmed up. We highly recommend this place.

At first I was not extremely excited because I felt it was in town. Boy was I wrong! It is at the top of the mountain and the views are wonderful! I truly felt out of town. There are a few neighbors but at a distance which was very nice! We had a large group and they had something for everyone which was amazing! Everything was very well set up and the owner is amazing to work with!!! This was one of the most pleasant VRBO rentals I have had!! Thank You ☺️

This house is about as high as you could go in Lead, SD. Beautiful view. Had a deer come up to the patio and turkeys walked thru the backyard while we were outside. Lots to do at the house both inside and out. Easy check in. Tara answered a couple of questions we had right away. You would not be disappointed in this property!!

This property exceeded our expectations! The view alone was phenomenal! We had a large family reunion, and we never felt crowded...lots of space for adults and kids to spread out. We especially appreciated the variety of amenities...mini golf, horse shoes, game room, fire pit, hot tub and more! Close to the town of Lead, and just minutes from Deadwood. Tara, the host, is a rock star...so accommodating and communicative. We hope to return to this property again someday.

This house is GREAT for a large group! Clean, comfortable, and roomy. Kitchen has everything you need. Tons of games and activity options. So peaceful it doesn't seem like you are in town. Tara is very responsive. Will book again next year!

This property has everything we needed to have a spectacular time! All the games/activities, plenty of room for 17 of us (with no bunkbeds!), modern and spacious kitchen, and of course the incredible swing in the trees. It was great and I recommend it with enthusiasm.

Plenty of room for everyone, well stocked kitchen, lots of room for parking. House could use screens on the windows and patio door to enjoy the cool evenings as the upstairs bedrooms don’t cool off well with the A/C. We enjoyed the games and being together in your house.

Incredible property inside and out, perfect location too!
So great for balance of rest and family interaction. They thought of everything and then some. Clean, cozy, comfortable, great views, spacious, every amenity we needed for our large family.

Great property, great location, beautiful view. Could use a little maintenance. Holes in window screens, one burner on kitchen range was difficult to turn off, it smelled from gas. Kitchen very spacious.

Beautiful views!
The views from every window in this house is amazing. The kitchen is so well stocked and it made it very pleasant to cook every day for all twelve of us. The large amount of parking and garage space was perfect for the members of our family that went on atvs to the trails and sites. It was awesome that with a very inexpensive permit we were able to drive the atv’s on the roads to get to all of the nearby trails and sites. We had plenty of room to park our trucks and trailers. Deer would walk right up to the house, there was a huge rabbit that would also come visit the yard. It was very beautiful. Our families had a wonderful time this week there was plenty of room for us all to hang out and play games together.
Not sure when we will make it back to South Dakota, but will love to return and will definitely stay here again!
Super easy to get your atv/utv road permits. First go online to website dor.sd.gov. Fill out the form 1030. Get copy of drivers license, social security card and ATV registration. Email it to Karen at khicks@custercountysd . com. You will need to do this for each vehicle. Any questions call Karen at 605-673-8172. She is very nice and super helpful.
Email her the forms at least two weeks before you leave so you can print them out. (Now you can drive pretty much anywhere a car would except interstates.) Once you get to South Dakota you also need a trail permit. Exit 61 off of Interstate 90 visitors center and some gas stations sell them. Or call forest service to get in advance 605-355-3600. Get them both for an amazing experience.

Great place for large families!
We stayed in June this year and the host was amazing to work with. The house is set up great for large families, the amenities the property has was great to keep everyone busy and happy. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen has about anything you could need to make your own meals if you want. Highly recommend and we plan to come back.

And the morning sunrise views were stunning! We were able to snowmobile right from the house, the trail was just down at the main road, very convenient!
However, if you have big vehicles or a trailer would suggest to be sure to come into the house from by the Lead school and not by the gas station (which is where the gps brought us) the road is very steep and has sharp turns, we got stuck with our trailer but all of the neighbors were amazing and jumped right in to help! Once we went around and took the other way in we had no issues.
Highly recommend this house for a big family or friends group. Nothing we would have changed. Thanks for sharing your house!

From Toddlers to Retirement age, nice blend of stuff to do. Hot tub, Pool, Games, enough Bedrooms, Spare reading rooms, etc, Found some ATV trails just up the hill- A-Lot of fun.
