There are lots of excellent things about this hotel but most important are the staff; this is a family run business and it shows. From the moment they welcomed us to the moment they waved us off from the terrace we felt completely at home and cared for. Service is friendly, attentive and discreet.
The hotel is in an beautiful location overlooking mountains and trees and a river valley. While you survey this from the large terrace and enjoy the terrific local cuisine and drinks and friendly service it is impossible not to relax. It normally takes me days to wind down at the start of holiday but here it happened in minutes.
The rooms are large and clean and quiet and well appointed. There is a really lovely, large, swimming pool close to the hotel with perfectly regulated water temperature and a bar nearby. The local area has a number of trails with spectacular waterfalls; some are hard to find but worth the effort as you'll get them to yourselves.
The WiFi was maybe a little slow but still perfectly functional (20-30 MBPS) and probably as good as it could be in such a remote location.

The quality of the food & wine, the view and the surrounding environment. Friendly kitchen staff and beautiful open kitchen.
The narrowness of the room and bathroom (no place to put anything personal), the room is not well isolated (we were woken up by music from the lobby and cutleries early in the morning), checking is not very professional because our passport was taken in picture on a personal phone. No staff in the morning. A lift would be welcome to help with luggages. The fireplace is used but not maintained by the staff. Breakfast food is good but no fresh coffee is provided.
Overall it's a beautiful place but I'm disappointed about the price-quality ratio, I was expecting more.
