The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and a comfortable stay. The breakfast in the morning was of high quality and really enjoyable.

Ok. This place is located well, 10 min from Gojo station or 20 min walking from the main station. Kyoto is too touristic, I didn't really like it, but the Hotel is absolutely great. Breakfast is not too Japanese, let's say it is just OK, they have pancakes, why? For tourists. Everything is for tourists in Kyoto... But Ok, this is the way Kyoto is. Anyway, the hotel is at the intersection, lots of buses stop there, Gojo is near, so no problem going around. They also have some English speaking staff! And a really nice library to read stuff about Kyoto - just pick up the book. Oh, free coffee too. The coffee sucks, I mean, this was not Italy, so if you drink coffee in Japan, you've got it wrong, but it is there. Oh... there is a great big temple just across the street, where there are no tourists. NO TOURISTS. You are alone in a great wooden temple...
The Kyoto vibe... it is different, touristic. You need cash here. But nothing to do with the hotel. The hotel is great.

The rooms were big and clean. The location was really good, close too the subway.
