Breakfast was amazing. Staff was nice and property was very clean. Public bath was relaxing. They charged room tax on top of what I paid to Expedia. Location is also good. 1 bus ride away from main attractions and close to convenience stores. I would recommend

Check in was smooth, room very clean and well appointed. The location is about 20-25 min walk from Kyoto Station. We ended up taking the city bus for the most part to get around. Use Suica or IC card to tap off the bus. There's no tap on- just hop on and pay when you hop off. This location is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. Hotel has 4 washer/dryer combo and none were available so we crossed the street and did laundry at the laundry mat. Explored the neighborhood for an hour and came back when laundry was done. I enjoyed the stay for the quietness but would prefer a hotel closer to the train station next time.

Location is a bit far from attractions. Need to take public transit everywhere in a hot summer day. No restaurant around the area. Only a convenient store 3 min. walk down the street. The room smells before turning the AC on. But the public bath is a plus, staff is helpful and the breakfast is decent.
