About this cottage rental
The Gray House is a completely renovated historical cottage dating back to the early 1900s, in the historical fishing village of Cortez, Florida. The village was founded in 1865. The house was built on stilts by Mr. Ireland in1870 . He sold the house to Grey Fulford in 1931. Grey moved the house on to land.
He married Priscilla Pringle and lived there until 1989.
The cottage has original hardwood floors, marble counter tops ,and beautiful views. The cottage has a king bed, pull out couch in the second bedroom , dish washer, built in refrigerator, gas stove, large microwave, grill, table and chairs on the back deck. The bath is spacious with a walk in double shower. There are 2 TVs with internet stations and apple tv.
The house is located on a 2.5 acre lot with a 60 foot dock on Sarasota Bay. There is (1) deep water slip and Kayaks (3) available on the premises with (3) fishing rods and beach equipment..
The cottage has plenty of parking for boat trailers It is landscaped with indigenous plants only. The house is wheel chair accessible from a walkway and ramps up through the back door.
This is a perfect place to getaway and safely, relax.
The cottage is dog friendly but 😣 no cats or birds .

The location was great. We walked to a local restaurant that was on the water. Close to the beach. Property was quiet and had everything we needed to rest and unwind. Close to lote of great restaurants on the water.

This place was a gem! We loved our stay here. Cozy, clean, fun to have bikes to ride and kayaks to enjoy. No complaints!!! I'd come back any time.

Pictures do not accurately reflect this home. Yard is in disarray and uncared for in the front yard and backyard. Needs some serious organization and cleaning. Inside of home was clean, however lacked blankets and bathroom comforts such as nice towels.
