Feeding the animals and the elephants interaction 🥰
The restaurant stuff, I was with a child and I asked the waiter to replace the flapjack with a pancake and the senior male waiter or Manager refused. Very minimal options for kids on the food menu

This is a tranquil scenic lodge without having to drive too far out from Johannesburg. The staff are helpful, the rooms are clean and the food is good. If you are lucky you get to see the animals roaming around come up to the viewing deck to feed. Will definitely recommend for a short stay!
The lodge is completely on solar so the electricity trips every now and then depending on the weather however it is manageable. Although the rooms have a rustic charm to them they do need a bit of an update.

Very attentive staff, beautiful site with excellent views. Good breakfast, dinner and cocktails. Property well maintained and clean. Early checkin and late checkout was arranged for us.
Unfortunately no electricity and no water during daytime between 9 am and 6 pm, therefore also no wlan. Management tries to run lodge on solar power , generator is only used few hours. No compensation offered at all , not even yet a drink. A pity.
