Situated in Hilton Head Island, this lovely villa for $500 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. This slightly elevated first floor oceanfront villa is a charming 2 bedroom, 2 bath retreat with a unique private walkout deck that leads directly to the beach, pool, baby pool, and common grilling area. The beautiful villa provides a stunning ocean view from the living room, which features a 65" flat screen TV, free WiFi, and a sleep sofa. The dining table comfortably seats 6, and there are 2 breakfast bar stools. The kitchen is fully furnished for your convenience, and there is also a laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer. The villa's interior features an oceanfront master suite with a king bed, 43" flat screen TV, and en suite bath with a walk-in glass shower. The guest bedroom offers 2 double beds and a private bath with a tub/shower combo. Located within the Palmetto Dunes Resort, the Captain Walk Villas are among the most popular of the oceanfront properties. The resort offers three championship golf courses, miles of bike paths, tennis, pickle ball, the General Store, and an 11-mile lagoon system that you can explore by rented kayak or canoe. The oceanfront Dunes House is a must-visit spot where you can enjoy a cocktail or a leisurely lunch while watching the waves. The beach is easily accessible via the beach walk that takes you from the pool to the beach. Guests of the villa can comfortably sleep 8, and the villa is non-smoking. The owner of this villa has provided 4 beach chairs for guests to use during their stay. Guests of Palmetto Dunes can take the free Dunes Buggy that runs between the resort and the Shelter Cove Marina. At the marina, visitors can enjoy strolling along the harbor and taking in the gorgeous water views and yachts. Charters are also available, including dolphin cruises, fishing trips, and marsh exploration. The marina is home to a variety of restaurants, specialty shops, and free live entertainment during the summer months. Additionally, there is a free fireworks display every Tuesday from mid-June through mid-August. The on-site oceanfront pool measures 22' x 50' and is 3' to 5' in depth. It is heated in March, April, October and November. Pool heat dates are subject to change without notice and may vary depending on weather.

Super clean and steps to the beach! Picking up the parking pass was efficient; building was quiet. Only drawback was having to remember a 6 digit door code. :)

Great location walk out to the beach close to all other shopping and restaurants. Wonderful view of the ocean. Check in was easy and no issues with anything on the property. Place was clean but carpet could be updated or taken out.

It was a beautiful condo. We could hear, see and smell the ocean. We had breakfast on the back deck facing the ocean. It was a nice vacation!

Overall we had a good experience. The property was great with perfect access to the beach. The unit needs new blinds on the master bedroom and the carpets need cleaning. Also, we were not notified that the dishwasher was being replaced and the repairman walked into the condo unannounced.

All the decor made the unit feel homey. The location was wonderful! Short walk to the beach. Very quiet and peaceful section of beach. We will be back!

Stay overall was good — unit was decently furnished, location was great with only a short walk off the patio to the beach. Even had a couple beach chairs and towels for us which was great. Also, Palmetto Dunes is just a fantastic community to stay in. Only a couple complaints - 1) the owners/property mgmt company never responded to either of my messages. While I read their policy on not guaranteeing early check ins, they never acknowledged my message at all. So we killed 4 hours with 2 kids waiting to hear back, but never did….and still haven’t. We entered a very clean unit, but one that obviously no one had been in for awhile, which was disappointing for obvious reasons. Some or ANY communication would have been great. 2) the master bed and linens might be one of the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept in. The bed was hard as a rock, the pillows thin as cardboard, and the linens were like sleeping on carpet. The kids slept great in the other bedroom, but my wife and I had a tough time in the master. It does not get a lot of airflow from the AC unit, and there is no fan in there either. Overall, just needs a few basic updates to the master and some responsiveness from owners, then I’d consider staying there again given the convenience to the beach and pool.

The condo location is perfect, close to pool and ocean view on the first floor. The condo had everything we needed, and was clean. Our gate passes had not been called in, so when we arrived I had to call and get that taken care of, but other than that, our stay was perfect.

The minute we stepped in the unit, a stench which seemed to resemble cat pee was prevalent. Next, we discovered that the sink in the smaller bathroom was extremely slow draining. The toilet in that bathroom did not flush well or rapidly. One had to wait about 5 minutes before re-flushing. At night, the light in the smaller bedroom was extremely bright and it was difficult to sleep. I'd recommend black out curtains or shades for that room, as the outside hall lights were shining directly in all night long. We also had issues using the TV- I'd recommend instructions for those unfamiliar. The location of the unit was nice, but the interior left much to be desired and we would not stay there again. A very uncomfortable visit.

We had a wonderful stay
First floor made access to the beach perfect. Chairs and boogie boards didn’t have to be dragged through the complex. The area right outside our back door was perfect for picture taking. The place was clean. First VRBO experience and it was awesome

Great property, troubles with management company
We loved this unit because of the location and easy access to the beach and pool. We have a 1 year old so convenience was top priority. I called the management company a few weeks prior about checking in early that day in hopes to get our baby down for a nap upon our arrival. The man I spoke to on the phone said no problem and verbally put us down for a 12pm check in. Once we arrived the code didn’t work and no one was answering the phones. Luckily we ran into the property manager in person who was checking the unit and she was able to help us after explaining the situation. She was unaware of the promise her coworker had made which caused huge confusion. We also did not receive instructions about the gate passes in this neighborhood. Luckily we figured it out. We had a babysitter try to use our second pass and was unable to get in and I couldn’t get through to the rental company since it was after hours. I had to drive out to pick her up and take her back. Not a huge problem but an inconvenience for sure. Had the pass information been better explained to us I would have called ahead to get her a pass. Overall we had a great trip, loved the unit but had trouble with the management company.

The property is 100% as advertised and photographed. Very spacious and comfortable for four. Access to the beach is a few steps away; wake up and fall asleep to ocean views. HH outfitters is near by for bike rentals. Great week and close to everything the island has to offer.

A few short steps to amazing beach
We cannot wait to come back. Beautiful condo, everything we needed, close to all shops and attractions, and most importantly, as close proximity to a private walkway to the beach as we’ve ever been. Already scheduled our next stay. Thank you!

This condo is very nice - the owners have done a fantastic job with updating it with a nice kitchen and furnishings. The location is wonderful - just steps to the beach, and being able to have coffee on the private patio while listening to the waves is a great way to start the day. I would very much look forward to staying here again.

You could rent a higher unit for a bigger view, but the easy access was what sold me. You can’t go wrong in this unit. We brought our bikes and rode all over the place. Very bike friendly. Five stars all day!!
