A cosy hotel with incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. I loved the thoughtful touches, especially the quality toiletries and comfortable robes. There was also a great selection of complimentary drinks in the reception area, including different juices, a coffee machine, and matcha.
The location is excellent—close to the train station and about a 13-minute walk to Nishiki Market. Having a 24/7 convenience store right next door was also very convenient and made our stay even more comfortable.
A minor downside was that the sink was located in the bedroom rather than the bathroom. I would have preferred it to be inside the bathroom for a bit more privacy and convenience.

Gorgeous lobby with complimentary beverages at all times.
Staff were fantastic throughout stay, handled collection and forwarding of our luggage to next hotel no problem. Room massively exceeded expectations - very large, beautiful decor, amenities, hangers, separate toilet and shower room. Would absolutely recommend anyone in Kyoto to stay here. Just a short walk to main road, just outside busiest spots. Fantastic cafes and restaurants within a 5 minute walk and a convenience store less than 1 minute walk.
Nothing that we didn't like about this hotel.

Good location
Comfortable enough beds
We had to change rooms on check in as the room we were given was not clean, marks on the floor and walls, it looked like it had not been properly cleaned.
Second room was better but it still looked in need of a refurbishment. Water mark around the toilet was noticeable, new floors needed as current ones are showing their age.
They need to take the door off the laundry room as it is unbearable how stale that little room is since it isn't getting any air into it.
