Very good, sunny location across from the Gorge, however you could still hear traffic pass by, The host appears to live on site and helped us get set up in the room.
Difficult to work the TV, only YouTube seemed to be available. Shoes had to be left on ground floor near the front door to protect the floors, which was very quaint but a bit odd when you have to climb stairs in your socks!

Very comfortable and pleasant, characterful accommodation. Quiet. Attractive walks right along the river directly across the street. Very responsive manager/owner. We were able to check in several hours ahead of time and our room was upgraded at no extra charge. Victoria is very expensive and Lipton Place provided very good value for money. Bus stop half a block down takes you right into Victoria. Taxi to the airport costs a bit less than from downtown Victoria.
Trade-off is that you are a little out from the town centre and it's about a 25-minute walk to the nearest independent coffee shop or restaurant.
