A place that may have once been enjoyable but not anymore !

Peaceful place ok.

Expensive for what we get in return. A place that may have once been decent but not anymore. All Equipment there was old and deficient. The cottage water was of poor quality (hard, smelly and full of minerals). The shower that smelled like a dead raccoon. The lake is full of algae and aquatic plants therefore not suitable for swimming.

Great stay on beautiful lake

Amazing location and right on the lake which was beautiful. This is usually a 3-cottage property, however the other cottages were not booked so we had the place to ourselves. The hosts weren’t in town but were nice enough to let us rent out the cottage anyway and made accommodations for us to enjoy our time. There was 1 small heating problem on arrival which Mel immediately solved for us. He was VERY reachable even though he was on vacation himself. Great hosts. In terms of activities, there were canoes and kayaks and paddleboat available which were amazing to use with all the fall colours on the lake.

Excellent cottage by the lake, clean rooms, hot water and comfortable big sun room to enjoy lake

It's an excellent location to spend some quite time on a vacation. Place is filled with natural beauty and it's just by the lake. Hosts Mel and Susan are truly awesome hosts who knows how to manage a cottage used for rentals to people on holiday. They personally take care of all the cleaning and always ready to help which make the stay more enjoyable and comfortable. We enjoyed our time and would not only recommend it to our friends but also go back to this place for vacation many more times in coming future.

Beautiful location, cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed, with only the three cabins on site it gave a private feel to our time there.

If I had to pick something the water was better for fishing then swiming but still worth it!

Very good

Close to the water. Able to use our kayaks and look out at the water. Kitchen facilities good-could have used a bigger pot for corn. Lots of room for the two of us. We did a couple of bike trips in the area. Nice area to explore. Nice to be able to walk into town. It was quiet and felt safe.

Could have used a clothes line for wet towels and bathing suits. A light over the table in the screened room would be nice. The screen in the door in the sun porch let in bugs as it was not tight fitting. Dish drainer needs a good clean and under the beds. The steep slope to the water could cause issues for some- it was OK for us. Not super for swimming due to duck weed and algea.

The owners were the nicest people that you can find. The lake is quiet and peaceful. There was a full kitchen with EVERYTHING! The beds were very comfortable. The drinking water from their own well tastes great! Meeting with other cottagers were so much fun. We enjoyed the cottage so much that we will be back.

So glad we did it!!

Absolutely loved the items that were made available to us during this stay. The kayak and canoe were the highlight of the stay and the close proximity to the lake couldn't be beat!

The furniture wasn't overly comfortable but we were fortunate to have gorgeous weather and were able to spend most of the days outside

My trip to Redfish Cottages

I liked the Location and the peace of mind neighborhood. No parties or load sound. You can fish any time as long as the boat is available. Swim/ or use the boat for a lake tour is awesome. friendly owner

Only for me, I have a condition of Heat fatigue and an Air-con will be an assist, I was depending on the air coming off the lake to the room, but on that day the hot weather was so intense I could not sleep for 2 full night with just 1 fan, my kid suffered too. It will be great if an Air-con can be installed to think in coming again.

Was relaxing and close to some attractions like beach & walking trails.

The cottage exceeded my expectations...decor was rustic but super clean & location was amazing. Very quiet & peaceful. Would rent this location again.

The cottages are good for small family(4) or group of friends

Very clean affordable cottages overlooking the lake! Easy to find.We spent Civic Day weekend here and it was just what we needed. The cottages are exactly as shown on pictures. The green lawns of the cottages are well-groomed: the grass is cut and flowers are planted. Scenic waterfront. We spent time swimming and fishing. We caught two catfish right from the dock. At evening we were sitting around fire, just bring your own woods or you can buy it not far away in Lyndhurst.
