Great hotel in an excellent location - 5 minutes walk from Kyoto Train station. Beds comfortable and the rooms spacious. Book a twin room!

Close to Kyoto station - the major transport hub in Kyoto.
DON’T BOOK WITH BREAKFAST! The property only has a fixed menu and two very similar choices (egg Benedict with salmon or bacon) And since there are no refunds, we had to eat the same breakfast for 5 days in a row. Don’t get me wrong, the breakfast is good. Once or maybe twice. But not 5 days. We could not work this out either with the hotel staff or Booking Customer support. Our room had now windows except the one in the bathroom. So getting natural light meant a view with the super advanced robotic toilet. Not ideal. There is also a swimming pool. Cool right? Except you have to go by the Japanese custom of bathing naked. This was a no go with kids.
