I was visiting Vizag for the first time and thought to explore the city at a reliable hotel as Ginger is a Tata brand and asserts safety. I booked it thru booking.com and it cost me approx 2300/- rs per night for 03 days. Well as I arrived at the hotel it's far really far approx 24 kms from the main city. It's at Gajawaka opposite Dmart on way to Kákinada. But on booking.com it showed it's in the city where beach is just 1.5 miles away but reality is something else. Upon enquiry at the reception I got to know that it's the Second Ginger hotel, as the main one is under renovation and it shifted all traffic to this property. I payed 9500/- at the reception as they insisted to pay upfront to avail the hotel, as I was not eager to be at this Ginger hotel. But was tired travelling and didn't resisted. Thought let's take it for now and will explore the city. The property is a building which also hosts a Spencer's shop that's why they didn't show you the lower part of the hotel. Which is in a way good also as you get everything from it. The hotel pros and cons 1) Good maintenance 2) Clean property also nice lifts 3) Rooms are medium sized neither too big nor too small, room was clean and AC was superb. 4) Staff was polite. 5) There is a restaurant which serves good food, try the 499/- buffet. I did as there are no restaurants nearby, not even a single one. Cons 1) The property is located at Gajawaka which is at the outskirts of Vizag city, as Vizag city is located next to the Sea and the distance is over 25kms to the main city which is a big issue if you are visiting any place. 2) To commute every day to Vizag city you need to spend approx 1200/- rs to reach back to this hotel and moreover the Ola cabs as well as autos reject to go this far as they will not get rides from that part of the city.

The management didn't return my booked sum of 3000/- rs after I vacated just staying 1 day.
