The staff especially Solly and James were beyond helpful and accommodating. We had two beautiful evenings around a great bonfire. All the necessary amenities were at our disposal and the rooms were lovely and comfortable. The animals were so cute. We will definitely go back in summer time to enjoy that very inviting “farm dam pool“. Thank you for having us we had a wonderful time!!

Great place for a retreat. The main house is absolutely perfect, and has all the facilities and equipment one would wish for. The rooms are extremely clean, and love the fact that each room had it's own on-suite bathroom.
The freezer was loaded with ice. We were advised if we used they ice, we would be charged (no issues with this, would be ideal if we were notified in advance). We bought our own ice, and was left with no space to keep it.

The unit was clean and neat. It had everything one needed in the kitchen. Being in nature around the animals was so relaxing, and we had perfect sunset views. The animals visiting our unit daily was so special, and we liked the little gate in front of the patio that kept them off the patio but close enough for a feed and cuddle. The two friendly and helpfull staff members - Solly and James met us when we arrived, helped and attended to us throughout our stay and also at the breakfasts that we booked on the premises. They are both an asset to the Lodge! We had a good and relaxing time away from the busy city life for the long weekend in August.
Just suggestions - The fridge/freezer is small for 4 people for a 3-4day stay. And because of the network being so limited at the arrival gate a bell or intercom are recommended as the staff was not always sitting at the gate.

The person who met us, James was very pleasant, helpful and friendly. The setting was great seeing the animals roaming around in front of our chalet
We went there to take a break from city life and home, knowing we only have to bring ourselves and food. The Sunday, around 10h00, we need to ask them when is housekeeping cleaning the kitchen, to find out we need to pay an extra R100. I had to show James on the app, it says daily housekeeping, not about an extra charge. He always refer to the lady the owner said so. Not long after that they change it on the app, to additional charge. This incident spoiled our whole stay there. I am also not sure if we were supposed to get a remote, but we could only move around in an enclosed area, where the bar was we had to wait if we see one of the staff to open the gate, for us. \there were supposed to be a Tv in the room but we could not find it, (although it was good to detox from tv, but it is the world cup and some highlights, would have been good. I added the photos.
