From the first time I made contact with Corinne, our hostess, until the last day of departure from Umdloti Resort M8, she was professional, courteous, extremely helpful & supportive, especially during the almost 7 days of intermittent power outages due to the unprecedented high volume of holidaymakers, who choose one of the most beautiful & secluded coastal villages in SA as their 2020 festive season holiday destination!
Upon our arrival at the main gate to Umdloti Resort, we were greeted & welcomed by one of the friendly & professional Marshall Security Personnel, who recorded all our details as per the required COVID19 protocols & handed us the keys to our home away from home during 21-28 Dec.'20.
Umdloti Resort M8 is the very last apartment in the second row of ground level units...as we parked in one of two designated parking bays right in front of the apartment, we instantly sensed the relaxed welcoming atmosphere with the modern L-shaped artificial wicker patio lounge set & stylish aged wood double bench/table, which easily seats 8 adults under the partially ocean facing "stoep".
As we unlocked the wooden stable front door & entered the open plan living area of the recently restored & refurbished apartment, everything looked fresh & clean, with its modern 3-seater fabric couch to the right & the occasional chair in the corner next to the very large secure aluminium sliding door, also opening onto the "stoep". The cobalt blue accent wall frames the large flat screen Smart TV installed with endless entertainment apps like YouTube, Netflix, ShowMax, AppleTV & various other unexplored options.
The well equipped manageable sized kitchen with its black marble counter tops, 4-plate ceramic stove top & oven, microwave, washing machine (wash 'n spin only) & fairly large upright combo fridge/freezer, is directly adjacent to the lounge.
To the left of the apartment there are two average sized bedrooms with double & queen sized beds fitted with crisp white high quality linen as well as ample sized built-in wardrobes in both rooms; the bedrooms share a bathroom fitted with a large shower (bath sheets & beach towels come standard), single basin vanity & toilet.
All rooms are equipped with ceiling fans to keep you cool & comfortable during those hot 'n humid Indian Ocean nights.
On-sight communal pool.
PS! Umdloti Smart Village is located in a Green Belt, so please stay safe from the free roaming scavenging Velvet Monkeys.
