Staff were brilliant here and made a positive impact on our stay. All very friendly and helpful. We stored luggage before check-in, one lady called and made me a reservation at a restaurant I couldn’t book myself, exchanged notes/coins for me and always friendly faces.
Hotel has good amenities especially the communal sitting area. It was always busy with guests, able to eat and drink here. The hotel provide excellent free beverages.
Rooms were spacious (could open two suitcases at same time) and a small area to sit with a table was nice. Shower was brilliant pressure and the shower gel smelled lovely.
Location: surrounding the hotel was serene streams and traditional-looking homes/inns, a 7/11 right across the street, over the bridge just 5 mins walk is an amazing ramen place. There’s also a convenient station just a few mins walk. However it took 30 mins to walk to attractions/shopping, etc so don’t expect everything to be on doorstep you’ll need to walk or take the train. Otherwise the value for money is incredible at this hotel.
I paid for late check out which was a bonus.
If you only need to wash and dry a few small bits it’s fine but I needed to wash jeans and it took two washes and a very long drying time.

Room had mould in it.
We got baggage delivered the day of check in before we arrived and they didn’t take it to the room
They did ‘environmental cleaning’ which just meant they didn’t make the bed except for 1 day and didn’t vacuum.
