The living area is spacious, with vaulted ceilings and large windows letting in the forest light. There’s also gas fireplace and a flat-screen TV for catching a movie or the morning snow report. We very much enjoyed our stay, the location was close to town (20-min walk), an ice rink (town trolly, shuttle to the slopes), and nice hiking trails (Illinois Creek trailhead) all accessible by a safe sidewalk along the road. We arrived 30 minutes early on the day of check-in (trying to beat the weather) but the property hadn't been inspected as was explained by the property management team and we couldn't enter until the inspection was complete. This seemed pretty close to the check-in time (4pm) so we waited until a little after 4 and called, they had waived off the inspector and texted the entry code but the cell signal was weak at the property and I didn't get it until I drove toward the town. So take note if you are waiting to enter at the property. The fireplace was great and warmed the living area nicely. The hot tub was wonderful and the kitchen is well appointed. Even though the setting is remote you can hear the trucks engine break on the road, especially in the morning. Be warned maintenance staff appeared without notification (pool service, staff to shovel off snow from the deck) and they plowed the drive at 11 pm a couple of times during our stay. There were a few cobwebs present but somewhat expected with the high A-frame ceilings. All-in-all we had a wonderful time, the property exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend it.

We have stayed at this location 3 times in recent years. The location is great - walkable to town, yet feels private and close to many trails.
Compared to our first visit, the property seems to need some attention. The shower curtain was covered in mold, many of the dishes had food or lip marks on them (not clean), there were mice in the garage, and there was broken glass near the bench in the side yard. Perhaps it’s turned over too quickly between renters?
We still love this house for the location and layout, but this last visit gave us pause for booking again. With that said, the property managers were responsive so we are hopeful it gets some more thorough cleaning and maintenance, and maybe we just had an unlucky visit.

This beautiful house exceeded our expectations! It is in a great spot only a few minutes from town. We would definitely stay here again and refer friends and family. We came to decompress after a wedding and it was a very peaceful and restful place. The host was communicative prior to our arrival to ensure we didn't have any problems when we checked in.

We got to enjoy moose and fox sightings from the living room and kitchen. Easy to get to town and hiking trails to explore. The children loved the large yard. Many of the railings were not up to code, so we did have have to watch the kids a little more closely.

The home is beautiful. Although the pictures suggest an isolated location, the house is in fact just adjacent to Boreas Pass Road, a fairly heavy traffic road. The biggest issue we had was that we found a live rodent in one of the kitchen drawers. Although the management company was quick to come out and set traps, knowing that a rodent was in the house put somewhat of a damper on the whole week.

Reality met expectations of the property based on the listing. Very private, comfortable, well equipped house with a huge deck and hot tub. Everything was clean and functional. On the property we were visited by a bear, moose, and two fox. The spiral stairs although quite creaky were easy for everyone including the dog to use. The huge deck was awesome although without shade so too hot to use in summer. The hot tub is one of the best we've experienced. Kitchen was very well stocked and appliances were new. Main street is an easy 1/2 mile walk on a wide sidewalk. We had a great stay and would definitely return.

This property feels like it’s up in the wilderness and yet it’s only a few short blocks to downtown Breckenridge. The views out the back windows are stunning… Mature trees, and a beautiful deck to sit and enjoy it all. The hot tub is awesome… Very high-end and modern. Would love to visit again in the summertime

My family has short getaways to Breckenridge on a regular basis but this is the first time staying at this property. What an incredible location! Steps from Isak the troll and also a super easy walk into downtown. The house itself is full of charm and lots of windows out into the incredible view. It felt surprisingly private while still being walkable, you usually have to choose one or the other. This is also the first rental we’ve EVER stayed in that had enough blankets to make us all comfortable. Lovely house, incredible customer service and communication with the property managers. We highly recommend this home!

The rental was in a wonderful location. The house itself was located in a wonderful woodsy location, but just minutes from Breckenridge. The house could have been cleaner as there were several cobwebs and the windows were dirty which made the views less than the spectacular scenery that it was.

Spent a long weekend with my husband hiking, exploring and basking in the gorgeous Colorado fall colors. The property is in a wonderful location, completely private and well stocked. The living space with all the windows plus huge deck and hot tub are the highlights. Communication with mgt company was great. We would love to come back!

What a gem! This home has it all, topped off by an incredible deck nestled in the trees with lots of seating, a hot tub, and wonderful views. It's secluded, but only a 3 minute drive to the heart of Breck. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The house is nice but is in need of a deep clean to get rid of cob webs and dust. The outside grill also needs to be cleaned. Otherwise this was a nice property in a good location. The beds were very comfortable and the house is tastefully decorated.

Great location
The surroundings (trees and stream) were the best part. A great, peaceful setting. House is very nice, lots of space in kitchen and family room, great views from ample windows, wonderfully large deck. Very close to town is good. Bed and couches were comfortable. Kitchen had everything you might need. Plenty of towels, blankets, etc. Overall well furnished. It's a nice house.
Negatives: It got too warm in the house by evening. All the windows (without shades) let in a lot of warm sun. Too few of the windows open and the side doors don't have screen doors. There isn't a way to get much air in to keep the house comfortable in the summer. Ceiling fans help some but not enough. Upstairs bedrooms are warm at night. The lower windows and door do have curtains, but the upper windows don't. The spiral stairs are creaky, a bit wobbly. The gates on the deck are in bad shape. One was blocked so I assume we weren't supposed to use it, which would have been nice with a dog. Bathrooms are nice but are tight if two people are staying in the bedroom. The balconies offered a great view. It would be nice to have a chair on them.
The negatives are not major. The lack of air circulation (for summer) is the only significant one.
There is a fox family living in the yard (under the shed we think). It was fun to see them.
What is coming out of the pvc pipes that run out from under the house on the north side, with the outlet about eye level next to the deck? If that's a radon mitigation system, the outlet pipes need to be run higher up the side of the house; even above the upstairs balcony. If it's something that is harmless, then no big deal but if it's radon gas, the outlet location is dangerous.
Overall, we were very happy with the property.

I am giving this place 4 stars instead of 5 for 2 reasons.
1. Garage is tiny. I have a short box f-150 and I could not fit into garage… rear of the ruck hung out over a foot. Also had to fold my mirrors in because its so narrow. If you plan to park in garage, bring a car or small SUV. And only room for 1, although there’s 2 overhead doors.
2. Entire home could use some updating.
Overall, we had a great time and we’ probably stay here again. I’d recommend this place if you are into the outdoors. Very private, surrounded by pines and aspens, with trails right out back. It’s hard to believe you’re only 5 mins from town. The deck and views are amazing.

This is a nice home that is very close to downtown Breckenridge. It is fairly close to the road, so some traffic sounds when on the deck, but none in the house. The maintenance could have been a little better, since there were for example beer cans around the outside of deck from a previous party. Overall a very nice location and would recommend.
