The character of the Cottage, the setting of the property in the lovely grounds of the stunning Craigievar Castle, the amenities provided, the lovely coal fire.
The shower being on a slope in the bath. Lack of WiFi, although it was available in the Castle grounds.

Location superb. Virtually in the shadow of Craigievar Castle. Beauty. Peace. History. Trees. Walks.
No Wifi and no phone signal. However, that added to the sense of peace!

Die Lage war absolut traumhaft, wer wohnt schon neben einem Schloss. Craigievar Castle ist ein richtiges kleines Prinzessinnenschloss in rosa, das Personal sehr freundlich und die Führung sollte man unbedingt mitmachen. Die Lage ist gut, mitten in der Natur. Alford ist das nächste kleine Städtchen mit einem Co-op und diversen anderen netten Lädchen. Der erste Eindruck täuscht, ruhig mal zu Fuß alles anschauen. Der kleine Second Hand Laden hat mir gefallen und das Museum, sieht klein aus ist riesig und ohne Eintritt, eine Spende ist aber sehr willkommen.
Viele der Fenster ließen sich leider nicht öffnen
