We had an amazing time at this lovely home celebrating our family Christmas. The kitchen had everything we needed! The beds and furniture were very comfortable. The hostess was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be returning for another family gathering.

The cabin was a perfect get away cabin for our big group. Plenty of play area for everyone to enjoy puzzles, crafts, table/board games! Nice kitchen size. We are talking about our next time!

Our stay was lovely. Sheila was a gracious host, very responsive. When she discovered it was a birthday celebration, she even brought over a tray of cookies.
The house was lovely, with lots of little touches like extra chairs to make things easier for big groups. I’d absolutely recommend this property.

This was the first time to rent this house. It was better than expected and perfect for our large group. I cannot think of one negative to this property. Sheila was very accommodating and easy to reach. We hope to return next year!

This property and hosts are absolutely wonderful! The house itself was perfect for a large group with a ton of young children! The sledding hill in the yard made it to where we never had to leave the house!
Sheila and her husband were fabulous hosts! They made the renting process so easy and they plowed the driveway for us daily! Wonderful people!

We had the absolute best time! This home is great for large gatherings. It had EVERYTHING we needed with plenty of space. The kids were able to play in the snow right outside the backdoor with a great hill for sleds. The kitchen is fully stocked with all cooking essentials. The owners were AMAZING and just a text away if you have questions or need anything. We couldn’t be happier and enjoyed every minute of our stay. We will definitely be back!

I cannot even express how amazing Sheila and her home are! We had a few obstacles that popped up prior to leaving to Shaver. After calling Sheila directly, we had a resolution for check in and our trip went off without any glitches. Her home was immaculately clean, very well stocked, and as a group of 14, we had more than enough room to be comfortable and relaxed. I give Sheila and her beautiful home a 10! Thank you again, Sheila, for sharing your home with us! Looking forward to staying again soon.

Shelia a host with a heart. The Cabin was more than we expected. Beautiful 😍. We had our own snow hill in the backyard, no need go far. Warm fire after a day in the snow. Ping-pong challenges, laughter, joy and love. Family memories to look back on. Definitely coming back, loved our time here.

In well over a dozen years of renting vacation homes, this is by far the nicest in every regard, and perfect for a large and varied family.
Wonderfully clean, exactly as described, and the host/owner, Sheila could not have been more accomodating and responsive!
5 large bedrooms, with 6, count 'em 6 KING beds. No compromises for anyone. A fantastic kitchen, with anything you could think of! A full dining room, plus breakfast nook.
A fantastic setting, and the very large basement/garage, with plenty of room for the ping pong table, air hockey, and room for a couple of vehicles as well!
Lots to do in the area, in all seasons, with walking trails right out the front door!
Only caveat, you should like to walk, and do steps, because there are three levels! (garage/basement, main level, and upper bedroom level)
Did we mention the wonderful host, setting, quality, and cleanliness? Oops, , with this review, we will probably never be able to get it again!

The pictures of the patio do not do it justice. It's a very large area for family dinners and outside entertainment. No need to bring up pots, pans, appliances, dishes or utensils. Sheila, the Hostess was extremely pleasant and gracious.

This house accommodated a lot of people and was very spacious. The owner was very easy to work with and answer all of my questions upfront. The owner lives across the street which is both great and a little intimidating. She responded very quickly to any issue.
While we were there (August), squirrels were chewing on pinecones and dropping them from trees. These pinecones were still alive (not dried out) and very heavy falling from 40 to 50 feet. It was a very dangerous situation and two cars were damaged with dents and a broken luggage rack. We were afraid to stand outside for fear of being hit. It was difficult to enjoy our trip once this happened and would have been nice to know we could park in the garage.

If you have a big group, this house would work for you. We had 9 people, and still had 2 extra rooms we didn't even use. The beds are very comfy. Only issue was that it was hot! I'm guessing a giant shade tree was cut down out back, because that sun is direct, bright, and hot. I assumed a house that large had a/c, but I was wrong. Several fans are available throughout the house and the place does cool down upstairs with all windows open at night. Downstairs we didn't leave windows open due to bears in the area. Other than that, the kitchen has it all, the kids loved the garage games and outdoor area. Very quite and safe neighborhood. The lake was a 10 minute drive away, if that. Overall, would only stay in the winter again, but maybe others like the warmth. The host was wonderful and texts were easy with her. Thank you for having us.

We do an annual trip with my parents, brother, and our families. Three generations (10 of us) - this is the first time we came up to Shaver Lake with family since the 90s. And it did not disappoint! Sheila is just a wonderful person so it's no surprise that she is also the perfect host. This house is fantastic for large groups, especially if you like to spend time together. The open concept kitchen/family room/dining room/ breakfast nook ... not to mention amazing deck, made for a great stay. The house is in excellent shape and super clean. We will definitely look forward to staying here again.

Very impressed with this house, pictures don't do it justice. Beautiful home inside and very spacious. The backyard balcony is very nice and big enough to have a large group sit out and eat. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Kitchen was stocked with plenty of bowl, pans, cutlery etc. Plenty of towels and linens.

Large, clean home perfect for the whole family
The home was perfect for our family of 9. Check-in was easy with Sheila, who was so kind, helpful and available if we ever had a question or needed anything. It’s very spacious with a huge back deck with plenty of seating and a barbeque. The kitchen had everything you need to make meals and it was nice to have the game room area for everyone to play in. Looking forward to coming back again!

This place was even better than I expected. Sheila made the check in process a breeze. She literally explained everything and was so patient with us. The cabin was absolutely stunning with the greatest views. We throughly enjoyed our experience and the time we got to spend there. There was so much room for all of us and the game room in the garage was so enjoyed by the kids and teens. The cabin was close to the lake, only about a ten to 12 min drive at most. The cabin was also close to restaurants and stores. We look forward to staying again in the winter for a white Christmas 🎄. We cannot wait to return!

Wonderful!
Lovely property to gather the family and make memories. This house is in a beautiful setting with comfortable furnishings and lots of welcoming details. We were able to enjoy the sled hill in the backyard, watch the snow through giant windows and the location made for an easy ride to the ski area. We hope to be lucky enough to book this property again! Warm wishes to the host and her family!

New Year's Ski Trip
The property was amazing. There were 11 of us and everyone found a space that they were delighted with. We love to eat together and the dining table was a great gathering spot. There was a sledding spot in the back of the house that was perfect for our 3 & 5 year olds. The teens loved the ping pong table and were able to hang out there in the evenings. Our host was great and responded quickly to any questions. The skiing at China Peak was top notch and only 30 minute drive. Everyone in our group agreed that it was a great family getaway.
