About this house rental
Situated in Saint Helena Island, this charming house for $750 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Welcome to your vacation beach home on the southern half of Fripp Island! This home sits right beside the beach with magnificent views of the ocean. There are 2 ten foot wide porches, each equipped with rocking chairs and hammocks. The back porch sits right on the ocean and leads to an open deck seating area with shower and direct access to the beach. The front porch has views of the marsh and unrivaled marsh sunsets. At low tide the beach extends out to a half mile sandbar and an inlet which fronts onto an adjacent undeveloped Pritchards island. The house includes 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. There is a Master Bedroom with spectacular ocean views, a King bed, private full bath, smart TV, and Sofa. Two additional bedrooms contain 2 Queen beds each and share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom. A fourth bedroom contains a Queen bed (with a hallway bath opposite it), while the 5th bedroom, on the ground / downstairs level, has a King bed, a private full bath, TV, and can be accessed from either an enclosed stairwell inside or a separate door leading directly outside. A washer and dryer are located on the main floor. High speed WiFi internet and cable TV are included. 2 Kayaks are also included. When you're not at the beach, you can visit one of the island's swimming pools and other club amenities with the purchase of amenity cards. Club amenities include two golf courses, ten tennis courts, six pools, children's camp, restaurants, cruises, gym, computer business center, equipment rental, shops, and more. Equipment rentals include golf carts, scooters, bicycles, boats, kayaks, jet skis, etc. Please note that as Fripp is a private island, amenity cards are required if you would like to use these facilities or engage in club-sponsored activities on the island. While you do NOT need amenity cards to enjoy the beach or island, the club will charge an additional cost per card in addition to a 12.8% surcharge on your total night stay - but again these additional club fees are only in the event that you decide to buy club amenity cards. In the summer we request that guests book for 7 days (SAT-SAT), while for the rest of the year booking requires a 3-4 night minimum length, depending on the time of year. Check-in is 4pm and check-out is 10am to allow adequate servicing and cleaning time. We also offer a 6 seater electric golf cart which can be rented for an additional fee and will be cheaper than any local rental services.

We very much enjoyed this home. The back porch with the view of the ocean was wonderful. The deck walk out to the beach entrance was great and easy to use. The home had plenty of space for three families of 4. The location was perfect for us. We used the kayaks and loved them. We were able to walk them over to an easy entry spot. A really great home.

It was fantastic to be right on the beach and we virtually had it to ourselves the whole time - that was awesome. The accommodations were comfortable and we enjoyed cooking and hanging out inside and out. The only complaint was that the floors didn't seem clean when we arrived and some weren't sure about the bedding. Drawers were also not very clean.

We all loved our stay! The house is simple, but cozy. It was clean and the owners addressed any questions and issues within a few moments. The deer came up to the porch several times a day and the access to the beach is just a few steps. The island itself is perfect for relaxing or staying active. We saw dolphins several times a day from the front porch. Book the golf cart, it’s a great deal and you will need it. We will be back!

Our favorite part was sitting on the porch overlooking the ocean while rocking in the wonderful rocking chairs. The porch is covered and there is a nice breeze so we never got hot.
The house suited our needs nicely. There was a slight musty smell in the common areas if the air conditioning wasn’t running but that would be the only thing that bothered us. We loved the two refrigerators!

We loved our family beach week at Fripp Side! We had our grown children and 4 grandchildren- (ages 1,1, 2, 3). We loved the porches with views of sunsets and sunrises only a short beach walk away! Amazing!! The house was comfortable. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you!

Great house with a great location
We loved the location of this home, with views of the beach and the marsh. Beach was virtually private. Well appointed kitchen; love the 2 fridges and ovens for our large group! Beds were very comfortable. Super fun having the kayaks and golf cart. Living and dining areas were very comfortable for a large group. Played a lot of games at the table in the sun room! Owners were super easy to work with, vs going through a property manager. Will definitely consider returning here for future Fripp visits.

Excellent stay
You couldn't ask for a better location! The house met all of our accommodation needs. The house had a slight musty odor but nothing a little spray air freshener didn't take care of. The sunroom was perfect for doing craftwork and keeping it out of the way of my Grandchildren. The beds were very comfortable for all. The owners responded promptly to any extra questions. The golf cart was awesome, accomodating 6 people at a time. So much fun! Overall, the stay was excellent!

This property was the perfect set up for our family. The space in this home is ample and the location is great! We did encounter some problems when we arrived, however the owners were very responsive and attentive to our needs. We had a wonderful trip with our family!

My family stayed at The Fripp Side for Thanksgiving week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. There was plenty of room and the beach access and views couldn’t have been better. The kitchen is well stocked & there were plenty of seats available for the whole family to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner. It’s an older home but the new owners are making renovations and it’s not in bad condition as is! Communication with the owners was great & we have already planned to come back and stay again next year!

An Ideal, Idyllic Family Getaway!
Fripp Side was perfect for our family’s purposes - a getaway for grandparents, their son and daughter-in-law, and two granddaughters, 14 and 11. The open, spacious floor plan was just right for us to talk excitedly about the waves, the sea shells we found, the friendly, unafraid deer, and the gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, even as someone was preparing a meal, decorating homemade cookies, or writing a new worship song with a guitar. The arrangement of bedrooms and baths made everything convenient. Our girls had a room to themselves, and even their American Girl dolls had a bed to themselves. This was our first trip to Fripp Island, and we loved being among homes instead of high rise hotels or condos. The whole experience invited us to relax and slow down. Even the speed limit for cars is a leisurely 25 mph, though for the more popular golf carts it was 15. In late September, the loudest noises we had to deal with came from cheery hellos, seagull squabbles, an occasional helicopter flyover, or the excited squeals of children in the community pools. Adults who prefer to swim without children are thoughtfully provided for as well, though we didn’t partake of them. We often had a large expanse of beach to ourselves, and everyone we encountered felt like old friends we had not yet met. Before we left, we had a family meeting to discuss our week. Each person shared what was the best and worst things. Coming up with “worst” was hard, and the vote to return was unanimous. Our 11-yr. old said what we were all thinking. “Why can’t we just live here!”

Wonderful location with amazing views right on the beach. Excellent price for Fripp Island. Responsive and kind owners made for a great experience. Everyone from my toddler to my grandmother immensely enjoyed their vacation.

Perfect location and view
This house was perfect for our group of 3 adults and 4 children. We loved the quiet beach right outside the house and appreciated the shower and hose to clean up before going inside. The kitchen was very well stocked. Some of the beach toys and chairs that came with the house were very old and probably should be replaced, but the house itself was well maintained. The downstairs room was lovely and very fresh as was the rest of the house (we've stayed in other beach houses where the bottom floor was musty - this one wasn't). We had a wonderful time!

Great experience and home!
Our family enjoyed our stay at this home. We know that the owners just recently purchased the home and are making a lot of improvements. The inside of the home was very comfortable and nice easy access to the beach! The porches are very nice and the views are incredible. The only negative would be the windows and doors need to be replaced, but it was still a great home.
