About this house rental
Located in Penn Yan, this attractive house for $793 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. A beautiful contemporary lake home perfect for a family get away. Modern design with cathedral ceilings, open floor plan, spacious rooms and separate levels of living for multiple families. Enter into a large open kitchen, living room and dining space with amazing views and balcony to dine out. One bedroom (queen) and a half bath on top floor as well. The middle level has three of 4 bedrooms and two full bathrooms, as well as a full laundry room. A large master suite on the second level includes a beautiful balcony to rest on with lake view seating. The lower level has an extra large recreational gathering area which includes extra sleeping, full bathroom, kitchenette and game room. The lower level also contains a walkout to covered deck and access to the beach. Elevator connects all 3 floors! Once outside enjoy 50' of flat shale beach! There is a dock, kayaks, paddle board, fire pit, plenty of space to relax and a floating dock for swimming. The property is perfect with extra land for games and parking in the back and a fenced play ground for kids. An extremely convenient location as well it is just a few minutes from Penn Yann for groceries/shopping and a short walk to Seneca Farms Ice Cream!!

The downstairs sleeping area had no heat, just in bathroom. New sofa but no working footrests.
Enjoyed home, put our own app on TV to watch live sports. Lacked instructions for remotes.

Everything was stellar with this stay. Owner replied to a question asap. The home was very very clean and nothing was in disrepair. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances, pots, pans and dish towels. The wine fridge was great to have. All the beds were comfy and the bathrooms well appointed. The elevator made our stay great because several of us have bad knees! The layout of the house gave us the ability to have privacy and be together when we wanted. This house toys, games, pack and plays, high chairs and booster chairs. So great for families. Too cold to use any water craft but the fire pit and indoor fireplace took care of that. We have stayed in many homes I. The finger lakes and this is at the top of our list. We will be coming back. Thank you!

A beautiful house with AMAZING lake views! Our group of 11 fit very comfortably and we had everything we needed to have a relaxing weekend in the Finger Lakes. We especially loved the game room and can’t wait to return!

We did a friends vacation over Labor Day week. What an amazing house with an excellent kitchen and Great room! We loved the space and accommodations. The stove, fridge, and wine cooler in the kitchen were top notch. Everyone loved the outdoor space including the floating dock. Highly recommended for friends and family!

My family had a wonderful week at Dave’s house on Keuka Lake. The house was clean and spacious, incredibly well-equipped, and the location was optimal. We enjoyed all of the decks, watching boats, birds, and a beautiful full moon rise which coincided with our stay. My 14 year-old nieces loved the floating dock and all of the water equipment (paddle board, kayaks, noodles). The kitchen was one of the best equipped I’ve had in a rental. Dave is a friendly, responsive owner. Didn’t specifically look for an elevator when searching for a rental but it turned out to be so helpful for my 85 year-old parents. Comfortable beds, beautiful master bath. Loved being able to walk to Seneca Farms for ice cream or make a quick trip into town if we needed something. Highly recommend this rental and I hope we have the opportunity to stay here in the future.

The lakefront was beautiful with a floating dock providing lots of fun for our older girls and a walk in shallow water entry for the little ones. Roasting marshmallows and making s’mores around the fire pit was a nightly treat. It was a wonderful vacation!

We had a great time at this beautiful property. We were 3 generations from teens to 80 and never got bored, lots of games plus table tennis and shuffleboard. The elevator was perfect for my older parents with mobility issues. Make sure you get ice cream from Seneca Farms and bbq from BBQ Shack, both super close and super delicious.

Dave the owner was easy to contact. House was set up perfect for large group. Main open floor plan - living room, large kitchen and dining room with awesome views of lake. Canoes and paddle board for our use too. Perfect location too and parking for four larger vehicles! Thanks to the owners for sharing their beautiful lake home.

Very spacious accommodations for our group of 6 adults with a well equipt kitchen and large dining table. The location made it easy to run into town for groceries or to visit many of the great restaurants in downtown Penn Yan

This place is set up for grandparents and infants alike. In all my stays, I have not encountered one set up so effectively for small kids. You will find toys, books, arts and crafts supplies, a diaper genie, gates, stools, high chair and so much more. We didn't have any children with us and we still thought the place was wonderful.
Grandparents came with us and did use the elevator. My young adult "kids" loved the water toys (kayaks and paddleboard), ping pong table, the view, and the fire pit.
The place is in a perfect location and was so relaxing. The kitchen was FULLY stocked. The large pots I brought along were not necessary. You have everything there that you need for a large group. This place was home base for our wine tasting adventure. I highly recommend this home!

Family Friendly Lake Retreat
Beautiful lakeside home with plenty of space for a family to spread out and enjoy kayaking, paddle boarding and if lucky enough, boating. Penn Yan is a cute little town and the location offers plenty of day trip opportunities including hiking, golf and wine tasting. We totally enjoyed our time here and hope to return.

Overall, a great house for families. Very well stocked including plenty of games and toys for younger children (we had a 22-month-old and she was very pleased). David was great and responsive. The property had a wonderful open layout on the main floor. Great location for visiting the local attractions and wineries. Only downside was some of the property required some TLC. Some notables... The master shower was basically unusable, some of the furniture was "tired", etc. With the exception of the shower, all issues were manageable. Overall, the property was excellent, and I would go again. I am confident that the relatively minor issues are easily resolved.

The ping pong table, kayaks, and paddle board was a hit with both teens and adults-having a second paddle board would be a great addition. We enjoyed the wonderful views from the deck by day as well as relaxing time around the fire pit at night. There was plenty to do nearby such as walking and biking the Outlet trail, hiking Watkins Glen waterfall trail, fishing off the dock, floating in the lake, wineries, and breweries to name a few. Seneca Farms is a quick 5 minute walk and they have great fried chicken and a plethora of tasty ice cream flavors. We have a number of fisherman in our group so they chartered boats on both Seneca lake and Lake Ontario and caught some beautiful lake trout. We did not have any issues, but the owner Dave was in contact with us right away to make sure we had what we needed which was much appreciated. Thank you for sharing your home with us, we had a fabulous time and would definitely come back!!

Had a great time
We had a great time at Dave's house. There were 6 adults and we all had plenty of room. It's clear this house is designed for many more people - there are beds in every possible place there could be beds! The elevator was a great help as well. We had a few minor issues - water pressure in the master bath and the recliner broke while we were there, but Dave was quick to reply to my messages and came by to try to fix them right away. Shower was MUCH better, but unfortunately the couch needed more than a quick repair - didn't slow us down though. The house was in a great location, easy to walk to town for groceries or just to get some exercise. All of the wineries are within about a 45 minute drive, depending how far you want to go. Definitely check out the BBQ Shack down the street - delicious! Only thing I could think of to improve would be some blackout curtains in the bedrooms - the sun comes up around 5am this time of year and it makes it hard to sleep in. Overall, I highly recommend this rental, you won't regret it!

Can’t say enough great stuff about this property. We came over Christmas break and it was so much fun. The layout of the home is perfect for multiple families. Having the living and playing spaces on separate levels as the bedrooms is so convenient and smart. The house has absolutely everything you need to stay in and have a great time, but we also went out and explored and had a blast doing breweries along the lake, going to the coffee and candy shop in Penn Yan, and driving to Hammondsport for dinner. The owner was amazing & helpful. We would love to return!!

Can’t say enough great stuff about this property. We came over Christmas break and it was so much fun. The layout of the home is perfect for multiple families. Thanksgiving at the Finger Lakes
Had a great stay at Dave’s property! He is an excellent communicator and we felt that he would promptly address any issues we might have - we didn’t have any. The property had something for all ages to do - our group included 4 kids ages 2 -10. Considering a return trip at a different time of the year to enjoy a different season.

We were hoping it would have been a little cleaner. Some of the bedding like blankets and spreads really needed laundering. The kitchen could have been cleaner. The outside of the refrigerator hadn't been wiped down, the curtain on the window above the sink needed washing and there were crumbs in the toaster/toaster oven. The cookware was in rough shape and really should have been replaced and it didn't even have a full set of pans with lids to fit all pans. I'm only being this picky because we have rented a lot on Keuka Lake, all at higher end places and I just felt this wasn't up to the standards at that price level. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the bathrooms but I think future renters would benefit from some instructions on how to use the shower in the Master Bedroom. It looks good but functions horribly. The best option would have been the handheld sprayer but we couldn't get more than a drizzle out of it. We also weren't pleased with the fact that we couldn't turn on the heat in the lowest level. We had older family members from Florida who had to use that bathroom to shower and it was pretty chilly down there for a shower. Overall, we really enjoyed the property, the location and the amenities but just thought the homeowner would like some honest feedback.
