The breakfast was absolutely incredible, a true culinary delight. Sarah, the innkeeper was a wonderful person, so kind and welcoming. The views were absolutely amazing, offering a breathtaking panorama. The grounds were very nice and it made for such a pleasant atmosphere. It was a wonderful morning to wake up every day. Just such an amazing breakfast. Don't miss it!

While I respect their decision not to use even natural solutions to address bugs, it did unfortunately lead to areas where managing the bug situation became quite challenging and sometimes quite frustrating.

Overall, it was a great experience. I would even say it felt like a true wellness experience. This place allowed us to really rest and disconnect. The first three positive things that come to mind are: (1) The location. The property is very close to nature and far away from all the noise. We found real peace here during our stay. There were very few people around, and it felt much more like a private Airbnb experience than a hotel. (2) The breakfasts were honestly way better than we expected. We are truly thankful for all the effort that went into them. Everything was organic and vegetarian, with lots of fresh fruit and great coffee. Breakfast became one of the highlights of our day, and every morning we were excited to see what they would prepare. Thank you for this. (3) We also really liked that the property was farther away from Kona. For us, that was a positive thing. It made the stay feel quieter, more private, and much more connected to nature.

I also want to mention a few negative experiences, mainly so that the host and future visitors can be aware of them. (1) There is no laundry facility available, which can make a longer stay less comfortable. (2) This is especially important for future visitors: if you are terrified of bugs, particularly roaches, I would seriously consider a different place. I am extremely afraid of roaches and basically freeze when I see one, so fortunately my husband was able to deal with them. During our four nights, we had three roaches inside the room. I also saw at least six outside the room, as well as a large centipede. I understand that this is Hawaii and the property is surrounded by nature, so insects are expected. However, if you cannot tolerate bugs inside/near your room, this is something you should know before booking. I also think the louvered windows in the rooms may make it easier for insects to get inside even when they are closed. If possible, replacing them with fully sealed windows would make a big difference. (3) Finally, I think a little more actual communication with guests would be helpful, especially before arrival and during the stay. Despite these issues, we really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, the nature around us, and especially the breakfasts. For someone who is comfortable with insects and wants a very quiet stay away from Kona, this can be a lovely experience.

Location was great, pool was great, the little covered deck was a nice place to eat and hangout, Mini fridge, and area to make some basic food.

Definitely not good for a family.. The 2 air conditioners did nothing to cool the 1 room we were in tell the sun went down. So after a day of play plan on roasting until the sun goes down Hahaha The shower had not been cleaned. There was still hair from the previous person and the plastic shower curtain had black across the whole bottom. I know futons aren't the most comfortable,,, well we were reminded of that every night.
