Before arriving at the property, we received an email with the what3words location, but unfortunately suffered weak phone signal as we approached. Luckily, the parking space was easy to find but we didn't find the actual property immediately as this wasn't so obvious. We were glad it was still daylight when we arrived. Firstly the positives. This is a perfectly situated property for exploring Tetbury and the Cotswolds, with many walks starting from the market place just across the road. The parking space is a God's send and Tetbury itself is a brilliant place for antique shipping, eating out and independent shops. This was our first visit to the Cotswolds and we were not disappointed in Tetbury. However We messaged the owner shortly after arrival to bring a broken chair and two broken dinner plates to the owners attention but received no response. It felt a bit strange 2 days later to receive an email saying that a damage bond would be taken from us. This felt like an automated message which was sent out of sequence, but felt a little odd after we'd mentioned the damaged items. (However, no bond was actually taken) We've stayed in many cottages around the country and prefer to mostly self cater. There was absolutely no storage for food whatsoever, so our week's food shopping took over part of the kitchen table during our week's stay which was quite inconvenient. Some reviews had mentioned how well stocked the kitchen was, but with no work surfaces, potato masher, jugs, weigh scales, or oven gloves, we found it a challenge. The property is comfortable and was really clean, but we didn't appreciate (from the photos) just how close to the flat next door's walls and fire escape were to the windows. And if creepy gothic vibes are your thing, then you're gonna love this bathroom 😀 and we didn't realise beds even existed that big! It would have been nice to have been able to adjust the central heating, but the controls appeared to be locked away in the upstairs cupboard. The heating system making regular knocking noise, throughout the evenings. Overall though we did enjoy our stay in Tetbury, though it wasn't quite what we expected.

This is a really lovely and cosy cottage. The bed was super comfy and has a very inviting homely living room. Lovely short morning dog walk from the cottage which takes you along an old train track and then up onto Tetbury via the chipping steps. The owners were great! They made sure we had everything we needed before we got there and even provided us with leads and dog toys if we needed them. Thank you for having us!

Great location for exploring Tetbury and this beautiful area. Loved the big comfy bed and excellent facilities offered. Had some difficulty finding the cottage as it is accessed from the Market Place Mews around the back. Everything else was perfect and definitely would love to stay again.

This cottage was exceptional! The location, hidden in plain sight, and interior, so comfortable and well designed. We loved the sitting room especially to sit and relax at the end of the day. Tetbury itself is so close to many activities and attractions. Most welcoming!
