Very characterful property and welcoming staff. Very good menu in restaurant with tasty offerings both for evening meal and breakfast. Especially enjoyed the orange juice with fresh turmeric and ginger!
Room air was slightly stale, which could have been helped by having windows open. Very few rooms have walk-in showers which means less accessibility for guests with mobility issues. Although we’d asked for a twin room, when we checked in we were given a double bed which was disappointing although we coped.

"Staff were excellent, evening meal was excellent, bacon and sausage on breakfast seemed to be reheated, but acceptable. Room was a tad small but comfortable."
