De rust
Weg ernaar toe : omhoog, door smalle straatjes met stenen en zand, geen idee waar je uitkomt. Wel heel behulpzame kleine kinderen die meerennen met de auto.
Er zijn in de buurt geen restaurants. We hebben heerlijk gegeten op het dakterras van de lodge, maar was voor Marokkaanse begrippen relatief duur.
We hadden geen tijd om langer te blijven, maar we begrepen dat je vanuit de lodge mooie wandelingen kan maken.

This is a beautiful and peaceful place to stay and was a highlight on our trip to Morocco. Karim and his staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. We ate the most delicious food, the children had a cookery lesson and we felt so looked after. We can’t wait to visit again!

The staff was wonderful and took great care of us for our entire stay. They asked us about what we wished to see and do, and then created a fantastic itinerary for our stay. Each day we were patiently guided along local paths with spectacular wild flowers and views: the Ourika river, Atlas Mountains, and countless fields of red poppies, yellow flowers, olive trees and singing birds. We were taken to saffron, spice and the 5 star Anima gardens, plus an authentic local market. We were shown the insider’s Morocco in all its beauty. Although the neighborhood outside looked a little rundown, inside the Ourika Lodge everything was clean, comfortable and attractive. The were attractive Moroccan furnishings and artwork. The rooftop patio and dining areas were spacious with sweeping views of the countryside and villages. The meals were delicious and we were guided through preparing our own tajine cooked dinner.

The last 500 m to reach the place by car is very hard bad road….
