This section of the Rio Grande River is "gold medal water," with some of the best trout fishing in the state. Creede is only about 20 miles away, a wonderful, historic town with shops, restaurants, museums, and live theater shows. You'll also be less than 20 miles from the Wolf Creek Ski area, which boasts the most powder in Colorado. Speaking of snow, this home has a two-car garage, so you won't have to remove the snowfall from your vehicle before heading to the slopes. You'll enjoy burnished floors, a propane fireplace, and comfortable furniture inside. The stainless steel appliances and gorgeous cookware of the full kitchen will make tonight's meal a joy to prepare. The telescope will make it easy to appreciate the beautiful, clear skies. You are in for the time of your life. Things to Know Check-in time: 4:00 PM. Check-out time: 10:00 AM. This is not an allergy-free home, as the owners may visit with their dog. All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Security camera details: 2 on Front Porch and 2 on back porch /yard Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation. This was our 4th trip to South Fork. This cabin is by fair the best one we have ever stayed in. Loved being right on the river. There was a lot of corn hole played as well.

Could use the screens removed and cleaned. The same cobwebs were in the windows that were there last year only worse. Windows also need a cleaning inside/out. Windows won’t stay open on own. Wes adjustments. Had to prop them with books. House gets warm with no ac. Light switch in Master Bed has a short. Shocked one of us when tried to adjust the light. Last zone of sprinkler system under deck has a huge leak. Sticks for adjusting blinds are missing/broken. Some of the lights in living room don’t work. Other than these the place was great.

This is our second time to stay at this cabin. We love the floor plan, the big deck on the back, and being right on the river. That is why we love this cabin. There were some things that had went downhill since us staying here 2 years but they weren’t major: yard wasn’t mowed or kept up, and no wash rags in master bathroom.

Wonderful stay in the Landen cabin! Had a great time. Relaxing time on the back deck and enjoyed the river flowing right off the deck. Cabin was very comfortable and homey. Kitchen was stocked with everything needed to cook any meal! Beds were all comfortable. Beautiful decor in every room. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be staying here again.!!!

Bunk room and 1/2 bath are downstairs.
3 bedrooms and 2 full baths are upstairs.
Everyone said their bed was comfortable.
Kitchen had everything we needed.
House backs up on to the Rio Grande river and has a great front and back porch.
Skiing at Wolf Creek was about 25 mins away. Nearby restaurants were all good (Mountain Pizza, Ramon’s and Chavalos)
We had a great time and look forward to coming back

South Fork Christmas Vacation
Nice comfortable house for the whole family. The company was super responsive when we couldn't get the gas fireplace working. Had someone there in 30 minutes. We had a great time in the area over Christmas.

We arrived and everything was immaculate. We had some issues with a vehicle and Diane helped as much as she could and very accommodating. I would highly recommend the home and hope to visit again one day.

Great South Fork Getaway!
The house was everything that we hoped it would be - beautiful home, amazing location, steps out the back door to the Rio Grande, and well-kept and well-appointed. Diana was amazing and responsive with information for us on all types of questions, including who to call for insider/local tips on great fishing! Definitely will be our go-to rental for trips to Sand Dunes and the South Fork area!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in South Fork. This home was great!
It was exactly as presented online. The home was clean and well furnished. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and the furniture was comfortable.
We really enjoyed fishing in the river from the back yard.
The property manager was easy to contact and responsive. The neighborhood was quiet, safe, and very dark at night with great views of the Milky Way!
We really liked this home. We would stay there again and would encourage others to stay there as well.
