Since lots of others commented on the road to the cabin, I’ll start there. It’s no worse, and no better, than the other cabins we have rented in the area. The last mile or so isn’t paved, and it’s steep in places. You have to pay close attention, especially at night, but it certainly wasn’t as bad as other reviews had me expecting. Even after a torrential downpour, we had no issues. For the 6 of us (4 adults, 2 teens), the cabin was lovely, the two bedrooms both have full size beds, the loft has a queen. The bathrooms were clean and had everything we needed, and I love that the loft had its own bathroom. The kitchen area also had everything we needed. It was cleanish. The floor had someone else’s crumbs left behind. The porches are fantastic. There is a path that runs next to the river where we saw turtles, and a river otter. Our only issue was a bat, probably seeking shelter from the rain, that we think entered through the chimney. But we opened the front doors and he found his way to freedom. I would totally stay here again.

Twin River Lodge is a BEAUTIFUL home. The amenities are wonderful. There were a few hiccups as indicated below; the cabin had not been cleaned prior to arrival and the water was shut off for several hours due to a water leak somewhere in the community. We will not stay here again due to the HORRIBLE road into the community - dangerous and bad for vehicles.

We loved our stay! The cabin is absolutely beautiful and has all the needed amenities. It's very spacious and very nicely designed. We loved the pool table, the jacuzzi, and the grill. The beds were very comfy too! It's close to Tallulah State park, Toccoa Falls and Helen. Rob, the property manager, is very responsive, which is greately appreciated. The only thing I wish was different is the road to the cabin - it's kind of steep and was a bit challenging for us to navigate during rainy weather in our minivan.

My wife and I were more than impressed with the cabin overall, from the cleanliness, the updated appliances, the amenities and ease of use of everything (including the TV and Wifi). The property was well maintained and the location was very good. If I had anything constructive to say, it would be to give a little advance warning about the last mile drive, with respect the the "1 vehicle wide" gravel road leading in. Normaly not an issue, but there are a few areas were it would have been impossible to "move over" to allow another vehicle to pass...one vehicle or the other would of had to back up and on this trail/road, that would have been arduous, especially at night. Having said that, if someone was arriving after dark for the first time, they might of thought they were on the wrong road. All that being said, traffic on this road was sparse and although we only went out in the morning and back in the late afternoon, we never came across another vehicle on the road at the same time as us. My other thing I would say is that the pool table, (although nice) had black felt/rails and in the low light conditions of the cabins lighting (6 of the 8 overhead lights were out), it was really hard to see when my and my wife were playing after dark. I would suggest either- 1: Swapping the cloth to traditional green/blue (or even tan) or 2: Adding a nice decorative light above the table. BUT.... even with those things I just mentioned, this was my wife and I's favorite cabin we have stayed in to date!
