I stayed here for its close proximity to Yala National Park. Ravindu was very helpful in arranging for me to join a morning safari. The hotel itself was very equipped, the room was comfortable with all the usual facilities. I did not stay long enough to use the pool which looked fantastic.
There was nothing I disliked, only that I had to take the breakfast which was included as a pack up on the safari and this only consisted of some bananas and a pancake.

Great host and the food/hotel chef cooked up some great dinners. The pool was good and the staff were very attentive to our needs.
Water pressure in the bathroom was very poor and the wifi was very hit and miss.

Serenity Tissa is in the perfect location of Tissa! It is located in a quiet street next to the main street. Walking distance to the lake and temple, but many tuk tuks availble through PickMe, if too hot for the walk. Also hotel can help with the transport needed for the sightseeing.
The staff was superfriendly and help me with organising trip to Kataragama, Safari and my further travels to downsouth.
Hotel is very nice with the wooden interior which can remind of both British and Dutch architecture back in the days. Breakfast is a mix of western and Sri Lankan😇
The hotel has a clean pool with sunbeds and pool towels😍 I also used their gym once, it has all the equipment needed for a lowkey gym session when travelling (obs, gym has no aircon).
I would recommend solo travellers, friend groups and family to stay at Serenity Tissa.
An aircon in the gym would be perfect🙈
