Beautiful hotel with all the original fixtures and lots of historical memorabilia around. Very friendly and welcoming staff who keep the property well maintained both inside and out. Good value for money with breakfast included as part of the price.
Breakfast was lovely but it was clear that there was a shortage of staff as it took a while to be seen and there were items missing from the order. But this does not reflect our overall view of the stay and we would definitely go back.

brighter bed side lamp. unable to read using existing one.
small comment - mirror above set of drawers could do with being lower. I'm 5ft 4ins and could only see the top of my head in it.

easy booking in
apartment was let down, steep entrance steps, feisty smell, no thermostats on radiator in lounge, very dark could not reach the blinds to open, maintenance needs attention poor repairs, bathroom not very nice, sticky hairdryer, weeds everywhere, could have smartened it up, empty plant pot, radio too loud at dinner in the bar. Thought £150 was very expensive for one night not worth it in our opinion.Inferior to what we expected.
