room did not have tea making facility - if you order tea from room service it is always too cold by the time is arrives.
Window opened too far - no stays to keep it open at the right amount - we had to wedge it open with a pillow to stop it flying open.
There was no barrier at the window to prevent falling out - metal bar across the opening would suffice.
carpet was heavily stained and looked tired and dirty.
At breakfast, tea was made using the hot water from the coffee machine- each cup of tea tasted of coffee- disappointing.
No night manager- my husband had to go to the car at 4:30 am to get his breathing machine- it took him ages to find a way out out and even longer to find a way back inside. He was already having breathing difficulties so this stressed him out even more.
Toilets in the reception area leading down to the basement need automated lighting - it was too dark to see the light switches on the stairs and in the toilets- you are left completely in the dark unless someone tells you where the switches are.
Dinner was very good, grounds are lovely with outdoor sitting areas.
