Great location, nice and clean, good breakfast, comfy pillows.
We saw kitchen staff, but none of them said hello or welcome - completely ignored us throughout our stay. Saw no other staff. No-one reception. No idea what we would have done in an emergency - no phones in room. All signage in German. Beds were hard and not comfortable.

Clean and modern, very close to centre

Room was vary small and basic but overall pleasant and clean when I arrived. Wifi code was provided in the room. Good value for money compared to other hotels in the area, with breakfast included in the price, although the room didn't get cleaned or towels replaced while I was there but as I was only staying 2 days I didn't mind (this could be an issue for other guests though). Breakfast was good on the first day when I went at 7:30 with a selection of cereals, cold meats, cheese, salad, fruit, bread etc., but the next day I went a little later and there wasn't as much left. Drinking water and a selection of teas were available at all times in the breakfast room which I liked. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and were able to book a taxi for me.
Location was good, probably about a 10 minute walk to the main shops and restaurants in the town center and about a 20 minute walk from the train station.
I arrived at 8pm as I'd requested on booking and had got a confirmation email to say that was ok. On arriving the door was locked and there was no staff at the hotel to let me in, and no instructions had been emailed to me in advance. I rang the emergency number on the keypad at the door on both of my phones and the automated message said the number was temporarily unavailable. I managed to get inside 30 minutes later with another guest who had the door code, and eventually worked out that the key for my room was in a drawer opposite the reception desk. By 9pm my partner in the UK had managed to get in touch with the staff from the hotel who provided the code for the door which allowed me to go out for food as I was starving after a full day of traveling there. This was a very stressful experience for me and I nearly had to go to a different hotel. If check-in instructions and the door code had been emailed to me in advance, this wouldn't have been an issue for me at all.
The room was very cold at night, despite me having the heating dial turned to max, and the duvet on my bed was very small and barely covered me so I kept waking up very cold during the night.
