Don't judge a book by its cover!!

Leaving check out day.

I call this house don't judge a book by its cover!! Just because the cover looks good doesn't mean the start middle and ending is good. This house is not a good read. We were sent house rules from the owners which were abit far fetched. So when I arrived I done my own inspection on the house which didn't quite align with house rules sent. We'll start with the tv that didn't work properly ( They did fix ) non existence of vacuuming, Both bathrooms leaking water which they said a plumber was coming to fix the week after. Looking at past feedback this has been like this since beginning of last year. Extracter fan in kitchen dirty, We had rain one of the days we were there and it started leaking from the kitchen ceiling all over the bench cell phone chargers and my boys cell phone, ants on the kitchen bench. Outdoor furniture needs to be thrown out. Before we checked out we left the house better then what it was before we arrived. I've messaged them with no reply. I'm looking at getting advice from consumers advice. Worst accommodation we've stayed at to date.

Acceptable - could have better

Spacious. Comfortable beds. Ice in the freezer.

Outside the front door it was really slippery - the footpath needs pressure washing. The building was tired and unloved. We couldn’t watch the TV. We couldn’t work the aircon / heating. The one fan didn’t oscillate.

Cheap and very nasty

Location was good, place was clean

The internet didn’t work, there was holes in the roof, no milk or tea and coffee. No guide for the heater and the television reception went in and out. The couch was broken. The shower was broken almost cut my foot on the drain. Wouldn’t stay again

Great stay for families, plenty of room and full kitchen facilities

Comfy Beds, good location, very spacious and plenty of off street parking. Great that there was linen, towels etc provided.

The only thing that was tricky is the shower in the ensuite has no glass casing or shower curtain. The water from the shower goes all over the tiled floor and doesn't have a wet room drain so the floor becomes slippery/dangerous.

Great for families

We booked this property very last minute as we didn’t have accommodation. The house is well equipped and overall perfect for what we needed.

We didn’t have any issues while we stayed. The only thing is that some parts could do with a little extra TLC, a few things were broken but didn’t effect use. The post box needed to be emptied as the post was falling out. We didn’t see anybody while we were there to pass that over.

Will definitely stay again

Spacious home that was fantastic for our whanau. Perfect location on a lovely quiet street. Clean and private. Both days/nights we stayed were cold. So we absolutely appreciated the wonderful warmth from the central heating when we returned throughout the days/nights. Good communication with host, who responded quickly to text. Recommend. Will definitely stay again.

There was a slight buzzing sound to be heard in the single bedroom, possibly from central heating.

Open light and airy feel. It was quiet. The beds were comfy.

The lounge needed to be replaced. The bathrooms were dated and had no shower curtain/screen in the ensuite. The main bathroom shower was cracked, and water leaked on the floor.

The shower in the main bedroom needed a curtain The inside of the house was well maintained, but the gardens needed work weeding, lawns mowed would have made time outside enjoying the evening nicer

Functional home, spacious inside, big bath was utilised and appreciated, desk in rooms useful

no weeding done around house for quite some time. Shower door caused water to leak out onto ground. While we stayed there was lots of rain, the roof leaked in one of the bathrooms, probably due to gutters not being cleared.

Love the Central heating & Luxurious bath

Spacious; central heating great; use of kaundry appreciated especially as onlh one towel each provided; bathtub very luxurious

Door knobs on laundry, 1 bedroom & 1 closet faulty; towel rail in main bathroom broken; ants; only one towel each and we stayed for 5 days ; 2 plates in cupbiard were filthy; ensuite shower has no door so water goes everywhere and with only one towel each very hard to dry area without keepjng fan on all day

Dirty kitchen, ants, dirty bathrooms, no shower curtain. Family did not shower for entire visit.

Adequate for a couple of nights.

Quiet location, very spacious

The whole place needs a good deep clean. shower in ensuite has no door, so the entire bathroom turns into a swimming pool every time you use it. Needs a few more simple essentials like sharp kitchen knives which aren't meat cleavers, and a toaster that works.

Had a lovely weekend, lovely property, just some small attention to detail items not to standard.

Comfortable for a big family Central heating system

Only 1 towel per person for the weekend and no drier to use Rest of the house was fine, but kitchen was not very clean - fingerprints, crumbs, dirty corners, dirty and dead bugs on top of extractor fan at eye level Sofa in the lounge should be replaced, it is in a terrrible condition and uncomfortable
