Lovely 2 bdr/1 ba apartment close to Duomo, Uffisi museum, and The David. Easy walk to each. Also many excellent restaurants and shops nearby. Very comfortable setup. Several flights of steps might be a challenge for some.

Fantastic location really close to the city centre. Rooms were comfortable and while in the middle of city was a quite location.

The apartment was in excellent condition. It was very well located for touring the area. We enjoyed our stay but the steps were challenging for some of our senior group.

This apartment is in a great location for touring Florence. You are a short walk from the Basilica and several of the major museums. We had a rental car and were able to park it very close by (there are 2 parking lots within a block of the apartment). The kitchen is well equipped and we were able to have some quiet meals there. The beds were very comfortable. Sabrina sent great instructions on how to enter the apartment. I also appreciated the map with directions on where to take the trash at the end of our stay. Would highly recommend this rental

The apartment was located at a good location for where we wanted to go. There was a little grocery store down the street that was handy. Only real issue was how loud the streets were while trying to sleep.

This two bedroom apartment is large and comfortable and in a great location, just a block down the street from Galleria dell'Accademia. Our only complaint with the location is the number of stairs you have to climb to reach the top floor apartment. It's not an easy task if you have heavy luggage! We didn't feel like it was an option to go back to the room to rest during the day because the stairs are so daunting. When we arrived the first day, the air conditioner wasn't on and it took about 30 minutes to get it started. That's tough when you've just climbed all those stairs with 4 heavy bags! Fortunately, Luigi helped us get it running and it worked fine for the remainder of our trip. Overall, we really appreciated being in a spot that's as central as this one.

This apartment was perfect for our family of 4. It had all of the modern amenities. It has a beautiful new kitchen with dishwasher, newly remodeled beautiful bathroom, washing machine and AC in every room that worked so well! I like that there was a code and lockbox for the keys. We stayed in 5 different apartments throughout Italy and this was the BEST! The only word of caution is the 4 flights of stairs. Don’t forget anything when you go out! The location was amazing as well- close to everything! I would definitely recommend.

This is a great apartment in a central location, yet it is a quiet and relaxing haven after long days sightseeing. The apartment is clean, spacious and well-fitted out for a short stay. The two bedrooms are lovely and there is a nice mix of antique and modern furniture. At street level there is a handy cafe where we grabbed breakfast on a couple of mornings. It is an easy walk to the station. Would definitely choose it again.

We absolutely loved our stay here. We would have loved to stay longer. The apartment is clean and newly remodeled. Everything is top quality. The location cannot be beat. It is a close walk to everything. The Duomo is just a few minutes walk away. There was an extra €40 asked of us after booking. This was to pay for a new Florence tax on Airbnb. We were asked to leave it in cash when we left. This apartment was such a nice place we happily paid.

Florence is the perfect city to explore on foot. Located just north of the Duomo, this property is within easy walking distance of all major sites in the historic district. Property is safe, clean and well equipped. Two caveats...there is a rather noisy bar nearby and be prepared to climb 69 steps to the front door.

Our apartment was a great fit for the 3 of us. An easy walk to all of the sites we wanted to see and a clean, quiet, comfortable place to return to after and long day of adventures. We just looked at the long climb up the stairs as a bit more exercise for the day! Our host was very accommodating and easy to communicate with.
We all enjoyed our home away from home! Would be happy to stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Foglia, Sabrina was gracious enough to meet us and show us around the apartment when we arrived. There are stairs, but we didn't mind at all, especially because the apartment is lovely, well maintained, and clean. It is in a perfect location for walking to the main sights in Florence, situated in between the Accademia and the Duomo . We visited in August and were grateful to have air conditioning. We highly recommend this apartment.

What a lovely place! From the time of booking to the time we arrived, it was easy to communicate with Sabrina.
The apartment is on a side street that connects the Duomo to the Academia, so it is well travelled but quiet and quaint. It is on the top floor which meant it had plenty of light (and sky lights). The kitchen is up to date and well stocked - we used it for breakfast, some lunches and cooked three gourmet dinners. It's spacious - great for two adults and 2 kids to spread out. The apartment is so centrally located, so we could go to Palazzo Vecchio in the morning, come home for lunch and a nap, then go to the Academia. The air conditioning worked perfectly. The washer/ dryer and dishwasher are very useful, plus there is a clothes line. We felt right at home!
We highly recommend this apartment and we would be eager to return.

Our three day stay in Florence was wonderful and one of the main reasons was our fantastic time at this residence. The apartment was bright and meticulously clean. The location was ideal - just a short walk to the Duomo, The neighborhood was charming and we were a few steps from a café with great cappuccinos and croissants! My husband, daughter, son-in-law and 18-month old son enjoyed our stay. The walk up to the 4th floor provided additional exercise but was not a problem. Perhaps someone with mobility or health issues may be challenged with the marble stairs. Sabrina was responsive before and during our stay. She arranged for us to have a crib and high chair which made our visit even easier with our little one. We did not see her but she was available by phone and email. If we are ever lucky enough to return to Florence, we would love to stay in this apartment again!

Lovely and great location!
This was our first time traveling to Italy and Florence. The location and charm of this apartment are fantastic! We walked from the train station and found the apartment with relative ease (have a map and realize Florence addresses do not necessarily go in numerical order but rather order/color). The apartment is light, airy, clean, and updated yet maintains historic charm with antique furniture and high quality linens. The separation of the equally large and charming bedrooms provided privacy and space for the six of us. The many extras such as hair dryer, washer/dryer, clothesline, full kitchen with updated appliances, and excellent a/c were nice to have, but it was the ambiance and charm of this apartment that made it our favorite in Italy. While the stairs leading to this top floor apartment may not be easy for some, the view is beautiful. An easy walk (less than 5 minutes) to Duomo and Accademia as well as Uffizi and many (many) fine restaurants make it convenient too! We found the best gelato at Strega Niccola, a small local shop one block south on Ricasoli. Sabrina is kind and helpful and quickly responds to inquiries. Whatsapp is good for world travelers to communicate cheaply so check into getting it if you do not have it already. We would definitely stay here again.

When arriving in Florence and getting off the train, we had our little map with us, all ready to walk to the apartment. We walked and walked and then walked some more. The owner said the walk wasn't very far from the train station, but we couldn't believe how far we had gone. We asked someone then, and the lady said we were at the wrong Ricasole! There are two streets or vias or whatever they're called, named Ricasole in Florence!! We had walked all the way to the one further south. The owner texted us wondering where we were and why we were late. We told her where we were, and she explained to us how close to the train station she was actually located. Needless to say, we jumped into a cab because we were hot from all that walking. Once we got up there and climbed the many steps, we were so happy when we saw the inside. The apartment is so delightful! So light and airy. I loved the skylight in the bathroom! I loved how the second bedroom has a couple of steps down to it, so our daughters felt like they had more privacy from us. Plenty of storage space, plenty of space to move about in general. There really isn't a designated living room, but we didn't mind. You could sit at the table while others sit on the loveseat sofa in the kitchen. The breezes going through were very nice, too. Beds comfortable, full kitchen, excellent location (so close to Duomo and Accademia) and just a lovely, lovely place to stay. This was my favorite of all three apartments we stayed in while in Italy. The owner was VERY quick in getting back to me whenever I had a question. I emailed her quite a bit before leaving the states, and she was prompt and patient in answering my questions. I wish we wouldn't have been late in getting to that apartment the first day because I know she had other appointments to keep, but we seriously did not know there was more than one place called Ricasole. I would stay in this apartment again because the ambiance is just so nice.

There were 4 of us sharing this apartment - my 2 children, my wife and myself. It was perfect! The apartment itself is very modern and comfortable. The bathroom and shower is clean and spacious. The air conditioner worked well and we were very grateful for it in the afternoons and evenings. The kitchen had everything we needed. My wife particularly enjoyed using the washing machine. The clothes dried in the sun in a very short time on the Italian clothes line outside the window of the kitchen/dining room! We loved that it was SO central to everything. We walked everywhere, even to the Oltrano. It was a great way to really see Florence. We found 3 different sized supermarkets within a 10 minute walk of the apartment. There are a LOT of stairs and carrying our luggage up wasn't easy on arrival but after that we didn't mind going up and down the stairs each day - it was part of our daily exercise routine! The bedrooms are very well sound and light insulated. When you close the windows and screens up there is very little light or sound coming into the bedroom even though there are so many tourists close by and the sun is up! Thank you Sabrina for making your apartment so welcoming and enjoyable for us.

Dream apartment in the center of Florence - BUONISSIMO
I spent 10 nights in the lovely Foglia in September. The apartment is ideally located just a 3-minute walk from the Duomo, and within walking distance to most all the museums and other attractions in the city. It’s also an easy 10-minute walk to the train station, which is also the meeting point for many bus excursions outside the city. When your feet get tired of walking, there’s a taxi stand just below Brunelleschi’s famous dome, and that’s just 3-4 minutes away on foot. There’s an endless supply of restaurants, wine bars and cafes nearby, and the “City Conad” grocery store that’s located the next street east of the apartment (Via Dei Servi) is the best place for reasonably-priced groceries, bottled water/drinks and other general supplies.
The apartment was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the AC worked well. Windows open to the street below from both bedrooms, and to the inner courtyard from the dining/kitchen area. Despite the millions of tourists in the city, the apartment is very quiet for sleeping. The inner solid wood window shutters block both the street noise and the light, which makes for a good night’s sleep. The washer/dryer combo works well and is invaluable – I like to pack light, and being able to clean clothes makes that possible. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking – dishes, cups, glasses, utensils, pots/pans, etc. – but the only thing I found lacking in the kitchen was a good-sized coffee maker. There’s a tiny cast aluminum moka pot that makes about 6 fluid ounces of American style coffee AT A TIME. I had to run the pot under cold water to cool it down enough to handle it, clean it again, and then make a second pot/cup. This was inconvenient for one person, and would be completely impractical for an apartment that accommodates up to 6 people.
As another reviewer said, the stairs are indeed a "bear." As mentioned in the listing, they’re not suitable for the infirm, but they may also be unsuitable for anyone in less than top shape – it was a grueling climb for me (several times each day) because I’m not in shape - and that’s my fault.
Sabrina was nothing but pleasant and helpful to me from start to finish. She kindly arranged for a taxi to pick me up for my trip to the airport the day I checked out, as I didn’t have a cell phone with me. My stay in the Foglia helped make my second trip to Florence a very enjoyable and memorable one – Grazie, Sabrina.

Great location and experience"
After looking at A LOT of options in Florence, I landed on this one and am glad I did! The apartment was in a great location (near Duomo and Academia), was very clean and Sabrina was terrific. Delta/Air France managed to lose my luggage so the only downside was no phone in the apartment (my cell didn't work even though Verizon told me it would) which made coordinating the arrival of my luggage very difficult. Sabrina was very helpful in being the "go between" and emailing the info to me. My advice, if it happens to you, is to stay at the airport or get a disposable phone for the trip.....the guys who run the leather store downstairs were incredibly helpful as well. Give them your business, please!
The stairs are a bear but you definitely get some good exercise. For those of us used to A/C, I'm happy to report that the apartments 2 units won't disappoint. I'd definitely recommend staying here. Enjoy your time in Florence! It's a wonderful city.

Location, location, location
This is a great apartment for anyone who wants to be within walking distance to museums, restaurants, & shopping. The apartment is modern, clean, & tastefully furnished. The beds are comfortable & the linens lovely. Oh, and the washer/dryer combo is a plus, although we chose to dry our clothes on the clothesline. The building has no lift, so you have to be physically able to walk up 52 steps. We looked at it as good exercise.
Sabrina, the owner, was very accommodating and helpful, prior to and upon our arrival. She treated us more like friends.

Apartment in a Splendid Location!
We had an excellent time in Florence and it was complemented perfectly with Sabrina's comfortable apartment. The location of this apartment is really awesome and we could easily walk to the Duomo and to the Academia on one side and all the way up to the Uffizi Gallery on the other side.
Sabrina was waiting for us on-time upon arrival and even helped us with our luggage up the stairs to the 3rd floor. She is a very responsive host and very quickly replied all my text messages to her when I needed extra info/help.
We stayed in 3 different apartments during our trip to Italy and France and I would say that this apartment had the best shower! Powerful and never runs out of hot water which was a blessing after a day out in the cold walking around from morning to night.
The entire apartment was very clean & spotless and big enough & comfortable for the 3 of us and we never had any complains during our stay there. Lots of places to eat around the area, so you will never go hungry. Sabrina even kindly organized a taxi to pick us up during departure. Thanks for everything Sabrina and we hope to come back to Florence soon! I totally recommend this apartment 100%!

Great Visit
We spent a great three days in Florence and surrounding region. Sabrina was wonderful. She was EXTREMELY patient with me given the situation when we arrived. We had not arranged to get Euros prior to arriving in Florence, and she walked around Florence for an hour with my wife and I while we attempted to find a bank that could provide us with money. I'm sure she was aggravated, but was very gracious. The apartment was in a great location. Convenient to all sites. Reviews provided by others are spot on. Hope to come back someday. Buon Anno Nuovo, Sabrina!

I cannot add any more superlatives that past guests have not already stated. Sabrina was wonderful , efficient and easy to work with. The location could have not been more centrally located. The pictures are accurate in the cleanliness, lightness and overall inviting atmosphere in the Foglio unit. All amenities are high end and new. The bed was most comfortable, the pillows perfect and the air conditioning spectacular. It reached 99 ' while we where there , so having the apartment cool down quickly arriving home after a day on the town, was a welcome respite. When you walked out the door and you turned left, there was the Duomo at the end of the street. Magical. Restaurants and stores line Via Ricasoli, and although you are in the center of it all, it's very quiet. I highly recommend this apartment to those with no walking/ climbing stair issues. The beautifully marbled hall , stairs and landing leading up to the apartment are wide, bright and clean, but there are quite a few stairs to traverse. Pack lightly as there is no lift. I cannot wait to return to this wonderful sanctuary in the heart of Florence. Thank you, Sabrina for giving us the opportunity to stay in such a lovely place.

Excellent Apartment in the heart of Florence
Up 3 flights of stairs Leaf/Foglia was incredibly clean, bright and well decorated apartment. We stayed in Foglia for a week and it made a fantastic base to explore the city from.
The apartment is in a brilliant central location, literally no more than around 150m from the Duomo and around a 15 minute walk (with suitcases) from the SMN train station, so was easy to get reach.
Food wise, we ate in about half of the nights and can say that it has everything you need to cook a good meal. There are two supermarkets around 5 minutes away for the basics and we went to the 'Mercato Centrale' for some fresh Italian ingredients. There are dozens of restaurants right at your doorstep, all of which provide some excellent food. The ice cream shop Grom is also highly recommended on the Via del Campanile for anyone wanting a proper ice cream.
Sabrina was incredibly helpful right through from initial inquiry to when we left; and was always only a phone call/SMS away if there was problem. All in all it was an excellent stay in an excellent apartment!

Cozy apartment a stone’s throw from the Duomo
Two of us greatly enjoyed our stay in Sabrina’s warm, cozy apartment less than a 5-minute walk from the Duomo, San Lorenzo outdoor leather market, and the Accademia, home to Florence’s unofficial ambassador of culture, Michelangelo’s “David.”
Climb three flights of stairs in this renovated traditional 18th century building to reach the “Leaf” apartment (adjacent to the larger “Flower”). This tastefully decorated, compact, two-bedroom unit sports a sleek, modern bathroom with a terrific shower (even has that wonderful European invention, the heated towel rack!). The beds in both bedrooms were extremely comfortable so you’ll be sure to get a good night’s sleep after a strenuous day of sightseeing.
The family area is a relatively Spartan sitting/dining/kitchen area with a wooden table and four chairs, and two-seat sofa facing a flat screen TV on the opposite wall. The kitchen is certainly well-equipped for cooking, although with the traditional Tuscan food beckoning you at nearly every turn as you walk around Florence, you will probably find yourselves eating out more often than in. For morning coffee lovers, the kitchen has an Italian Moka-style coffee pot. I, however, would recommend stepping next door to the friendly Orlando Caffé for a velvety-smooth cappuccino. And as long as you’re there, enjoy the pleasures of one of their freshly-baked pastries!
If you are looking for a reasonably priced apartment right in the center of old Florence, try either “Leaf” or “Flower.” While Sabrina does not live nearby, she is easily accessible by cell (mobile), text (SMS) or email (which she answers very promptly).

Excellent Apartment!
This was an awesome place to stay. Sabrina was quick to respond to all and any emails sent to her. The Apartment had everthing for any family staying. Very comfortable for 6 people and very clean! The restaurant down the strret away from the Duomo was fantanstic as well. Sabrina has a well kept secret in this place as you are a 5 minute walk max from the Duomo and even less from the market that is available to the shoppers needs. The train station was only 15min walk max and from there Italy destinations are at your disposal!
Only one small item was the WIFI did not work but with all the locations around the city with free WIFI so it was not really an issue for us.
Highly recommended to any and all! Our stay was perfect!
